***Memorial Day at the Fort***

We requested 1900 but we also requested a nonpet loop so we are also in the dark.
Yes the weekend is booked up but Tuesday is wide open.

We will be there May 22 till May 25. Kids can't wait to hit the pool. We will be looking to meet some Fort Friends.

My sis and nephews, son's girlfriend and our big family will put us to our limit on our campsite. Should be a blast though.

I don't know how these folks know what loop they'll be in, but I know I'll be in 300 at Christmas. How? Well, I have a preferred pet loop reserved, and 300 is the only loop to match that profile... unless they make 100 or 200 into a pet overflow.

Hey Bip, We booked our vacation through "Kingdom Magic Vacations"
They took care of everything, helped us reserve a loop that best met our needs. They also helped us reserve a golfcart and get our park tickets.

It is a Grand Gathering.

We get a group of people and all book togther so they will but it in the same location.

Think of it like a Loop full of Dis members

We will be there May 27 - June 3. It's the Wednesday after Memorial Day, so I hope it won't be to busy. Look for our green Mickey head on one of the many cabins , and also my golf cart

I hope this weekend doesn't end up being like July 4th where parks are closed beacause they reached capacity.
I would hate to think we spent thousands of dollars family vacations to end up elbow to elbow on main street.

Im starting to get worried, I was hoping that since school (at least in our area) is not out until 1st week in June, that it would be the perfect time to go. We would beat the summer crowds, hope we didn't make the wrong decision

My family will be there May 21-27, 4 adults and 2 children. We also thought it wouldn't be too bad since it's the end of the school year. The comment above about the parks closing due to reaching capacity has me worried.

Thoes were my thoughts also I didn't even realize there was a holliday involved until after our reses were made. But it is to late to back out now besides we have park hopper tickets and we allways have the fort

We will be there from May 23 to May 30. This is our first week long vacation in .... maybe since ever. We have annual passes this year so I'm not too worried about the crowds. We can come and go. It's just my husband and me and of course our two dogs. We are not making many plans so we will just go with the flow. I'm hoping to get into Loop 500. I would like to be away from the CS. Does anyone recommend any sites?

I'm praying for a GREAT trip and small crowds, hopefully the majority of the people going will actually be there on Memorial Day and we can go another one of the days, that might be less crowded. Like Tigger said "We always have the Fort"

Well they said they were with MMGG like it was something we'd all know what the abbreviation meant but you're saying it's a grand gathering private thing? how would everyone else know what MMGG is? LOL I thought it was some type of group here on the board like we have the cruise meet threads in the cruise forum. LOL

I totally didn't remember the holiday either. In fact long after we'd booked this -when I realized there was a holiday during the trip- DH had to ask for an extra day off (so he'll get his full vacation since he gets paid for Memorial day anyway) and I called to add an extra day to our vaca at FW.

how are some of you already "requesting loop 500"/etc? That is what I was asking before. I thought they said to wait till like 5 days before to request specific loops by fax? Am I behind already with wrong info?
