Memorial Day at MK - Good or bad?

All of a sudden I realized that our trip to WDW from May 29 to June 4 includes Memorial Day (May 30). We've already planned that day to be at MK (including an ADR at Narcoosses in the evening). Was that a good decision for a national holiday, or would it be better to spend the day at our resort (Coronado Springs) and drive over to GF for the meal, water pageant, and fireworks at Narcoossee's?
