Depends on How are the 30 days calculated? I mean if you can apply it to a 5 days hopper and still being able to use the 25 days ie 6 months later then I might be useful.

Currently the Photo Pass is tied to park ticket media, so I guess this would be the same way. If you have an AP, the Photo Pass is good for the length of the ticket. So I am assuming, if you have a 5 day ticket (which has a specific "use by" date) then you have 30 days to download your photos after the last use day of the ticket.

So I plan on buying 9 one time use points for an August trip next year . So I would get 9 points to use on another trip.. how long would I have to use those 9 points?

The rules did OTU points won’t change so you will be buying to make the reservation. If you need 9, you’d pay for 5 and get 5 free to use in that reservation…meaning one of your own points will be left.

Only one person in the household needs it. There is some conflicting info I think between the FAQ and the terms and conditions for things like the ticket etc.

So, I think we need to wait for clarification for owners who don’t live at the same address.

It says Memory Maker to capture and share your Walt Disney World memories.

Aulani works off photo pass like Disneyland does so seems like no.

Not anymore we don’t. It’s a $100 up charge on the AP. The 40 free days of memory maker alone likely makes this a wash.

This will undoubtedly be a terrible use of points.

I’m glad some of you see value in it. To me it looks like something that I would rarely benefit from; certainly not enough to pay $99 in hopes I would.

If I could buy as needed (e.g. only when it would definitely save me more than $99 that I absolutely was going to spend anyway) that would be a different story, but something tells me Disney will eventually find a way to not allow that.

My home resorts are at DL and I don’t really see this as much of a benefit for us. Perhaps the 3 day park tickets would make it worthwhile but they can only be used for the weekdays and we usually go on a Saturday.

If we had a trip to WDW, I’d probably get it, but mostly for the PhotoPass and park tickets since we don’t have an AP.

I just wish they’d give those of us at Disneyland DVC member previews for the new Tiana ride .

I am in the camp of wait and see. I think it could be of benefit to my family but I need to see the specifics of the MM. We would use the OTUP yearly now that we are driving in the summer and we could add a night in a studio somewhere the first night. I am not sure how I feel about the lounge access as I do feel that all should be same access. We get the Sorcerer AP but I don't know we would give up our points to buy one or more as we use all of our points each year minus 1 point on our VGF contract.

OTU pts are interesting I guess... I see it as buy 17, get 7 free, or $14.16 per point.

It would be cool if the 5 day passes were flexible, like good forever, ( lol, yeah right those days are gone) or a flexible date on them... Might be able to work the system to get some more value...

Will be interesting when all the details come out.

As others have suggested, I fear all perks eventually going behind another paywall...

On the flip side, in DVC terms $99 is like a rounding error. If there's anything you would use in it, might as well get it ( plus, it's always fun to hunt for discount gift cards... )

And if you do buy it, it means you are better than lowly blue card scum!!!

If I buy the new Membership Magic can I buy the reduced park ticket for my husband only , I don’t need any tickets I have an Annual Pass ,it says for member and family members , but I don’t need another ticket ?
