If you own 100 retail points and then buy 100 points on resale can you still use all your points on things in the Disney collection? Or only your retail points?

If your resale points were purchased after March 21, 2011, only your direct (retail) points qualify.

As noted, you cannot use those points for the other options but you will have a blue card so you would get the applicable perks/discounts whether using qualified, non qualified points or a combination of both. While it's good to have options, for points that are not short notice, this is a blessing in disguise.

This. And if you don’t mind the (sometimes minimal) effort involved with renting, you are always better off renting your points and paying cash for your DCL, ABD, concierge business.*

*Even if you bought your points in 1837 (when VGF was built) and paid $0.41/pt the math is the same.
