Has anyone who closed late October/early November received their membership cards yet?

We have an upcoming trip and haven't received our cards yet. We arrive late on the 24th and were planning to hit a park for Christmas. We bought APs at the DVC price. Only problem is to activate the voucher, we need the DVC card. Of course the offices are closed on Christmas, so if they don't arrive before we leave, we are missing a day at the parks. We are staying at BWV, so we can go to the office but will have to wait until the 26th.

I sent an email explaining my situation and was told it can take several weeks for the cards to ship and sorry the offices are closed on Christmas. I will be calling tomorrow. Anyone have any luck contacting MS and getting cards sent?

Cards are made and mailed by a outside contractor who waits until a minimum is ordered. Depending on sales, it can take a week or several weeks. Did you buy direct or resale, if direct, I would call your guide, if your resale account is set up, I would contact member satisfaction.

We bought resale. With all the closing posts, you would think "the minimum " has been met and there should be enough for a mailing batch. I will be calling tomorrow.

Contact member satisfaction and see if they can make your cards locally and have them delivered to your resort prior to your arrival.

We had to call Member Services to get our cards made.....they arrived in a couple weeks. Another idea is to have them printed while you are on vacation--they do that at Saratoga Springs at the DVC Center.

Our first day is Christmas and the offices are closed. I did not want to lose a day at the parks. I will be calling later today.

I closed in October and haven't recieved any cards. I've asked a few times and have been told 6-8 weeks. I'm at close to 8 weeks now so I'm hoping soon. I'm not going until the end of January so hopefully I have them by then as I have purchased annual passes too

I just called member administration and they told me they will send me cards in 7-10 days. Might want to contact them

Thanks. I called before, didn't call administration though, and was pretty much told tough luck. Was going to try again later anyway. I'll try administration this time.

I remember us closing within a few days of each other. When I called, I was told them same thing. I know you can get them printed at the offices, but them being closed on Christmas Day doesn't help me. I'll call administration like you suggested in your other post.

I was trying through email also. After going back and forth, I just got an email stating a replacement set of cards would sent out. Hopefully one of the sets arrives in time.

They said they are sending me replacement cards too. I'm sure now the original ones will arrive with the welcome packet

If you are all set up and just waiting for cards, member satisfaction has the ability to side step the normal process and have the cards made and sent to your resort for pick up at check in.

What option do I use to contact them over the phone? I want to guarantee the cards are there. I asked about having them printed out and held for me and was told I would have to be there in person.

I called every day and asked if they could see me in the system. Once I got a yes, (7 days after paperwork was sent to Disney,) I went into the SSR preview center and they printed up my card.

We've been in Disney for 9 days. My number wasn't in the system when I got here and I did want to buy the Gold passes. The CM was fabulous. He set up a file for me. I had to pay $749 each for regular Platinum passes, but once I had my membership number that they would downgrade me to the Gold passes and put my overpayment on a giftcard. That is exactly what happened. No issues whatsoever.

Call the MS number and tell them that you are returning a call from member satisfaction, they will transfer. Let member satisfaction know that you were told that "if anyone could help you they could because they are the magic makers".

Thanks Bill!

My problem is, we already purchased DVC rate APs and received the vouchers. To convert them we need the cards, so I want to make sure I have the cards in hand. The offices are closed Christmas Day, which would be our first day going to a park. If the offices were open I wouldn't be worried.

We don't have ours either, we closed end of October. Our membership number arrived nearly 4 weeks ago bit still no sign of the membership cards. The letter with the membership number said they would arrive 7 - 10 days later.

Looks like the ID card design is changing, maybe that is adding to the delay?
