I was just curious how other new resale buyers were making out with receiving their membership cards from Disney. We received our welcome letter almost a month ago now, booked our vacations and everything, but are still waiting on our packet from Disney. I know it can take a while, I was just curious how long I should expect to wait and if anyone has received theirs recently. Thanks!

Cards are processed in bulk batches by an outside vendor. They wait until they get a certain number to run the job.

If you are at WDW, you can get your ID card printed at SSR, BWV, Kidani, or BLT in the DVC sales offices set up at those resorts.

:earsboy: Bill

The letter I received said to please allow up to 10 days from receipt of letter to receive membership cards:confused3. My 10 days were up Thursday or Friday, so I should get them soon. I'll be sure to update when I do. I'm certain that you should have received yours by now:scratchin

PS, Welcome Home:goodvibes

We got our welcome letter 1 month ago too, then our DVC packet with member cards arrived 10 days later. Call member services. They should be able to expedite the process.

We closed on 3/15, got our welcome letter on 4/12 and are still waiting for the welcome packet and membership cards. We're well past the 7-10 days now. We're checking into BLT next week so thankfully we can get them printed there so we can buy our APs and TIW. Our resale process went pretty quickly until we closed!

Thanks for the replies! I was just curious. We also got our letter on 4/12. Our trip isn't for a while yet so we have plenty of time at least. I will call to check on it if they don't come soon though. I'll just feel better when they're in my hands. :)

I closed last summer and never got my cards. I called them a few months later and still didn't get them. When I went to disney this past month, I got them from the DVC desk where I was staying.

If you don't get your cards before the trip, go to the DVC center at SSR. They can print out cards for you, only takes about 15 minutes. We closed on DVC via resale one week before a cash trip for a conference, and got our cards this way so we could buy a TIW card and get the discount on the annual park passes. Really minimal time involved to stop in and get your cards this way (at least if you have a vehicle available)...

Just thought I'd post a quick update that we got our packet in the mail today! :woohoo: Thanks everyone!
