Membership Card

We purchased a BWV resale in December. Disney had us in the system in early January and I've been able to sign into dvcmember.com. On Saturday, we received our Vacation Planner, but we still haven't received our membership card. We leave for Disney on Sunday, and I was hoping to have the card before our trip. If we don't receive it by Sunday:

1) Can I still use the DVC member discount to buy APs while we're there if I give them my membership number?

2) Is there a place we can go to at Disney to pick up a membership card?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

You can go to the DVC Sales Center at SSR and get a temporary card. You will need that to get any member discounts.

If you are not driving and will be taking a bus to SSR, the DVC Sales Center is right by the Springs bus stop.

Actually, you can now get a permanent card at SSR. We were in OP's situation in Dec and went to SSR. The castmember who helped us said they now have the ability to print permanent cards, so we got those and then received our membership cards from DVC after we returned home, so now we have 2 sets of cards.

Guess I should have waited a day longer before posting this . . . our membership cards arrived in the mail last night!

I have been a member for almost ten years.
I honestly do not recall ever being asked for a membership card.

I have always asked if DVC meber discount was available and recieved it with little problem.

Has any one had differnt experiences??
