Membership card question

We joined DVC in late October and were given a temporary paper membership card. When should I expect a permanent card to arrive? Thanks!

We closed in early Oct, and I asked my guide that question today. Aparently the membership cards are made by an outside supplier, so it could take a couple of months to get the card. If you temp card expires and you need a new one, call your guide, s/he can get somthing arranged.

It's too bad it's taking so long. For whaver reason, when we closed the first time, we had cards in 2 weeks. Now, we have closed again, and just received our cards for the new contract, plus duplicate cards for the original contract. They arrived Priority mail---2 packages, one for each member. Surprised me--wish that Disney had saved to postage money. Anyway, maybe the outside vendor is trying to get caught up and cards out, so hopefully yours will arrive in a day two.

We are also have trouble getting our cards in. At first dh only got his. Saw we called, and they agreed, that I was suppose to have one as well. So when they finally showed up(gave dh another new one), this time both didn't have a back to it, just white. So I called MS again, explaining these new ones, don't have a place to sign, most importantly no phone number(short memory here lol). Well still nothing in the mail. Not sure if they forgot, or if mine is still coming. Seems like a pain to call again, since it takes forever to get through.

If you bought Phase 2 of SSR, it could be several months. The cards are normally sent around the time of the closing, and the closing for new buildings at SSR will not occur until just prior to each building's opening.

I think I'm in that boat. We bought at the end of August and our Temporary member cards expire pretty soon. Will we have to get another Temporary card that will keep us until Phase II closes (sometime in March)?

We bought SSR in January and didn't receive our "official" cards until the closing in June. The temp cards will work just as well as the blue cards. It just doesn't make you feel the same.

On a similar note, we just closed about a month ago on a resale and have not received any type of membership card, either temporary or permanent. Does anyone have any idea about how long it takes after resale?
