Membership card name too long?

We just received our membership cards yesterday but mine may have had a problem. My name is fairly long - with spaces it is 23 characters long -and the last 2 letters of my last name were missing. My wife's was fine (but her first name is shorter). My name is correct on all of our documents and on the dvcmember website. I called MS and they thought it was ok.

I was wondering if anyone else had this happen on their cards? I just want to make sure I don't go to buy tickets, etc. and they say the name isn't right.

I don't think you will have any problem. I'm sure that's what it is - only 21 spaces available in the program they use to create the card.

I think you'll be fine, you rarely need to show your member card and then your name is seldom recorded from it. I would just explain the spelling difference if it becomes an issue. I have to admit that I was surprised with the 21 character limit. Many people use initials in addition to first and surnames so I'd think that there must be others with letters cut off.

I was surprised too. The ID number is actually long than the name which is why I was a little worried. The names on the envelope the cards came in was correct so I figured it was likely a space issue but wanted to be sure.

dvc shorten my middle name - so would not have that problem.
