I think maybe only 8 years ago. Nice little event, prizes,snack and hat.

I have this picture from April, 2013, so they had them then. You got a pin if you participated in a game, and another one if you won.

If we were staying at BCV or BWV, I would try to go.

Not familiar and curious, what were they?

Partly a DVC presentation to get you excited about membership and possibly buy whatever was upcoming, partly a nice continental breakfast, and a "game show" where some folks won prizes. Everyone left with a DVC-logo baseball hat. They were held on the dancing pavillion at the Boardwalk, at the Disneyland Hotel in CA (still???), and as of last year they still had Member Mondays at Aulani (which unfortunately did away with the evening member reception).

P.S. The breakfast was at Disneyland and Aulani. At WDW it was in the afternoon.
