That phrase "there is a rumor" about the slide kind of bothers me. It's no "rumor"-they announced it very proudly at the annual meeting that it was going to happen. Sounds to me like they might be back-pedaling because of an outcry of negative feelings. Perhaps they should have said "We're considering it", rather than now calling it a "rumor" when many of us heard them say it. Maybe it doesn't bother anyone else, but it just kind of bothers me when someone says they'll do something, then back-pedals on it.

I understand, Simba's Mom, because we were at the same meeting. Interesting, too, that we - OKW owners especially -have not seen anything in writing.

Thanks for the report Doc ! I'll have to let my feelings on the slide be known since it looks like they're actually listening. Glad you're having such nice weather----we're due to have a "high" temp here in the Philly area of around 9 tommorrow. I can't tell you how heavenly 70 sounds.............

Did anyone happen to add on and receive MB on these months at OKW? My guide didn't seem familiar with this, indicating that all resorts (except SSR, of course), all use years have been sold out for a while. It didn't sound like they had sold out since the meeting, but he wasn't aware of this offering at all.

I emailed MS to let them know that I supported the slide, and while they gave me no details (except to confirm the rumor as true), they suggested I direct all my comments to OKW directly or MS in writing. Here is the email I received from them last week (copied and pasted) :

Hello Maria,
Yes a slide is in the works for Old Key West. You can contact Old Key West
directly at 1510 North Cove Road, Lake Buena Vista, Florida 32830. Or you can
mail a letter to:Member Services 4th Floor 200 Celebration Place, Celebration,
Fl 34747.

Let us know if we can be of further assistance.

We added on at OKW August use year using magical beginnings two weeks ago. I really don't know why your guide didn't know about this.
