I just called member services and the line is busy. Is this normal? This is our first trip home so I am not sure if this is what I have to look forward to all the time or not.

I had the line busy out 6 times, got through and only had to wait 3 minutes! Best part...they had my dates available in February/March and we're all set for an impromptu trip!

Very true. Since the first two weeks of Dec are the busiest time of the year for DVC, the first two weeks of Jan will be very busy with MS.

Just to be accurate, the first two weeks of December are very busy, but the Xmas holidays remain an even busier time with NYE being the single most requested reservation night based on what has been previously posted on these boards. Demand at Christmas time can ebb and flow slightly from year to year depending on the timing of Xmas and New Year's in terms of days of the week. There are still a lot of people who are bound up by schedules that only allow them to travel at that time, plus it is a magical time to be at WDW.

Yup, that's what I just did-although the phone wasn't busy, I did wait longer than usual.

Speaking of Dec reservations... if my first night is Dec 6, that means I could call Jan 7th for that night's reservation. That's a Sunday, so can I call on Friday the 5th? Saturday the 6th? not until Monday the 8th?

I called today (Wednesday) at 9:00 and got right through. As was mentioned, I think Tuesday was exceptionally busy due to MS being closed Sunday and Monday.

I just called an got in the phone queue for about 10 minutes. We decided to go in early November this year instead, I was able to get an OKW studio, no problem.
