We just bought DVC last October. 
In November I used the online request form to make our October 2011 reservation at BLT - it worked perfectly and we received our 1st choice accomodations!
Today was the first time I ever had to call Member Services and I just have to say that it was a wonderful experience! The CM (are they called CMs there too?) was extremely knowledgable, courteous and helpful. It was just a simple request, but handled in the most pleasant manner possible.
One little issue I had (with receiving our Member ID cards) could not be addressed by MS so she graciously transferred me to Member Administration. This CM was even better! Without hesitation she escalated my request and is expediting our cards immediately.
Like I said, I'm a newbie.....but so far every aspect of our new DVC ownership has been SPECTACULAR and better than I imagined!
