Member Services Came Through!

I've been on the wait list for VWL for 9-13 Dec. Our original vacation was planned for the week of the WTC attack. Disney was great about reinstating our points (which had been borrowed), and rescheduling our cruise. Member Services was able to get us into OKW for that time period, but not VWL. This is a our first trip home and we really wanted to stay at our home resort. Well, I came home today and had a message from Member Services that we got the last day we needed for a complete reservation. Yeah! So now we'll get to stay at the lodge and enjoy all the Christmas decorations. We'd also like to stay at OKW in the future. Just wanted to share our success story.

Hey, are you staying in a 1 bedroom? Cause if so, you got our reservation!!! I cancelled it this morning when I was able to book OKW!!! Our reservation was December 2-14... Funny how things work out LOL.....

we had the wait list for one bedroom come through yesterday too...


it was for dec 6 ....

to link to the others we had waitlisted for and got last week and the week before....

dec 4 and dec 5....

they were also able to change our dec AKL to dec 3

so now we have uninterrupted stay at VWL.....

so YES .......waitlists do work if you are patience .....but also you should "book" back up reservations just in case.......we had OKW as back up .....

Congrats! We were successful also for Dec 2 - Dec 7 waitlisting for a grand villa at OKW. Enjoy the lodge. We were there in September and had a great time.

Yes, we're staying in a 1-bedroom. I'm glad you got in at OKW. I've cancelled our ressie over there, so now someone else on the wait list will be a happy camper. I just can't wait!

What a small world isn't it!! Too bad you didn't have December 2nd at OKW LOL.. that's the date we are still missing!! Were you going to stay in a 1 bedroom at OKW? We'll be staying in a 2 bedroom at OKW, as that's all that was available.....

I wish it were mine Fig. We had a sammie, who had to be put down last January. He was 16 1/2 and we miss him terribly. I found this picture while cruising through MSN Webshots. This lady had posted dozens of pictures of her sammies. I thought this on was particularly appropriate. We hope some day to get another one, but DH is Air Force and moving with such a big dog is a bit of a pain--not to mention the hair everywhere.

Oh...I'm so sorry for your loss Olaf. I'm sure your baby is still by your side even though he's gone. He's in doggy heaven with my kitty now. (They are probably harrassing each other like crazy)
