We would have gone if we could, and I've read nothing that makes me think otherwise! We don't have small children, that must be taken into account.

Don't know where my answer falls in the poll as we loved some parts and were not so crazy about other parts. Still glad we went though so I'll choose "attended - loved it" as the most appropriate response.

We attended and loved it.....DH, DS9, DS4 & myself.

Looking forward to another members event.:D We'll be there!

I voted for didn't attend - wish we were there.

I would have loved to go but I need more time that what they gave when they annouced the Homecoming. I think since we are DVC members and the way our policies work that they should annouce Member Homecoming events (of this stature) at the 1 year in advance mark. If they are talking about a new one already as someone has mentioned that they is talk already. They should set a date and announce it. At my home resort I can book at the 11 month window, why did they announce this event about 6/7 months out. First off, I already had my plans for the year and I had already spent my points. If they announced the event about 11 months before, I could have formed my plans around the event. It was the same way with the member cruise. DVC appeals to those who plan, I just wish that the people who ran DVC would do some planning too.

I wonder if they are hiring event planners, because I excel at that and I know how to do it.

I wish you had more chioces such as Attended had a great time(MK night was the saving grace); We attended and had a good time; there were definitely some glitches in planning, implementation and I was left with the feeling DVC wasn't as intune with the member demographic as one would I expect.
Overall I'm glad we went and would consider future events but would require more upfront info on the event.

Because of $$$ we didn't attend, although we were there that entire week anyway. BUT, luckily friends of ours went and gave us an entire MH package, including all of the pins, passes, Saratoga water, etc. as memorabilia of the weekend. That was so nice of them and we love having the package!

Speaking as to the intent of the poll, I was just curious to see how the numbers stacked up with regard to those who liked the MH and those who were disappointed. I didn't really want to dilute it will different degrees of "Loved it", "Liked It", "Netrual", etc.

Don't get too hung up on the descriptions. Taken as a whole, if you were satisfied with the event, vote the first option. If you were disappointed (expected more, too expensive, etc.), vote the second option.

We enjoyed MH & would like to do it again if the opportunity presents itself. We don't plan trips more than about 6-7 months in advance, we usually go in May & it was our 20th wedding anniversary, so it worked well for us. We had a family committment the weekend before MH began, so we had to work around the schedule, but we are so glad we did!! Plus we met some very nice "new" friends who are also DVC members!

We attended & loved it (obviously since I started the other post;) ) Me, DH, DD- 4 and DS almost 2. We did get a baby sitter for Epcot night so I think that made a difference. I think we would have been greatly frustrated had we tried to navigate Epcot night with strollers and nothing for the kids to ride. MK was magical and Saratoga Day was a blast- of course we did things backwards at SSR with food being last so again, our perspective is skewed to the positive with no lines/wait- even no wait for the free sample backrubs. DD had one too!

Thanks for taking time to put together a poll. I know you didn't want to get into degrees of satisfaction, but I really feel a lot of people who attended would fall in between "loved it" + "wasn't worth it".

I wouldn't say I loved it... too many problems, but I was glad to have attended in spite of the problems. Since I can't truly say I loved it, I'll pass on the poll, but I think the poll is a great idea!

I think you need another category for this. It would be attended really liked it, but thought there were problems. I voted attended and loved it based solely on MH Night. I have to sy I thought Epcot night and SSR opening could have been approved upon. Perhaps you could call the category "really liked it with reservations".

We did not go. They announced it pretty late in my opinion.

Did not attend, I was out of town. :(

Based on the reviews I would have loved to do it for the MK event alone.

I am hoping the next one will be MGM and MK.

I would have attended if the announcement had been make sooner. After reading the reports from everyone, I hope another event at WDW will be held in the future.

We thought it was a nice event. Can't say we loved it. I think someone should have done some better planning. I think that is why we were dissapointed in some things. Disney usually is very well organized. We did not think the event was in Disney fashion.
Like I stated in a previous post...why no shirts???? We all would have loved them..I would have traded a pin for a nice shirt. And they are great advertising.

I thought name tags would have helped with meeting fellow DVC members.

We would love to do a member cruise...missed the last one.

P.S. we are still hoping to locate our neighbors (Macungie, Pa.) whom we met at the Land meeting. Please contact us if you read this.

I spoke to the orgainizer of the Homecoming by phone, the day after the festivities, and mentioned there was some disappointment about no event T-shirts. They were originally part of the plan. The organizers were going to send out a letter/order form to all attendees so the shirts would be sent out before the event... time just slipped away. I also asked about the personalization we were asked about when we registered for the event (spelling of first names). Again, they were hoping to have a gift item personalized, but then shyed away from.

I explained the t-shirts or hats would have been an additional way for the "group" to be united. It may sound hokey to some, but when everyone on the Member Cruise had their shirts on for the group shot, it felt like a big family re-union! She agreed that t-shirts would have been a good idea. :)
