Cash reservations made through CRO/DRC are "run of the house". That means the resort can assign you most any room. For the BWV, the SV & BW views are almost always fully booked, which means the cash reservations get assigned to Pool/Garden category. The resorts generally do NOT bump a DVC member out of a booked category unless there is some mtce issue beyond their control.

At BWV, to stay in the same room for your entire points & cash stay, you pretty much have to have a Pool/Garden points reservation to combine with the cash reservation.

Hello...in response to this availability issue....my ressies were linked. They had a glitch due to the construction going on at OKW but was not warned prior to my arrival. I have no problem asking questions and receiving answers. It was an error on their part hence the upgrade, whether we needed it or not.
Availability is always an issue when there are booking categories involved.
Thanks for clarifying further for me, after 20 years a member I go with the flow of things.
