Member Discount January?

C'mon, you guys; quit kidding. It's the DVC Member discount on non-DVC resort rooms; like the AP discount, but even better, because we're DVC owners....

I wonder if a non-member could rent points, use the DVC Member discount on a room at a Moderate resort, let the DVC room sit empty, and still end up paying less than the Rack Rate of the Moderate.

Sorry I didn't make myself clearer I'm talking about discounts on the Disney Vacation Club Villas in January of 2006.

Edited to add: this would be in Disney World NOT HH or VB
