DEBBIE! 900 now! no wonder you got that verandah! You are my idol next to darla for being points queen, lol. Hey, i can substitute a margarita anytime, if there's a verandah involved, lol. Can't wait to see you guys again. Did you get early or late seating?

I started calling at 8:59. I didn't get through until 9:17. Then when I pressed option 3 for member services there was nothing on the line, no music, no voice, nothing. I was just about to hang up and try again when Kevin, bless his heart, LOL, answered. YAY! We are cat 9 room 2612. I can't wait. I booked my brother and SIL into our cabin just to hold the spots because I figured it was worth $75 modification to give someone else the chance to come with us even if they can't. This is going to be soooo cool.http://www.disboards.com/newreply.php?do=newreply&noquote=1&p=10763446#

I got in early this morning and am sailing with Karen NY - we both had cell phones going (we're both at WDW) and I was so thrilled when all was said and done - I couldn't have asked for a nicer CM - Emily was very upbeat and sweet the way she handled all the deal - DVC Cruise 2006 - here we come!

We're in, as well. Cat. 11, Deck 7, Room #7623. We were having no luck on the 800 line, so we switched to the 407. Although my DH had been on hold longer than I, I got through first (???). :confused3

It's our first Member's Cruise, but will be our 5th with DCL. pirate:

Let the party begin!!! :cool1:

Karen

:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc We got cat.3 accessible room 8100! Early dinner, but we might change to late dining. With 2 adult children, late dinner will probly work out better. All four of us are going! YEAH! :cool1: :cheer2: :earsboy: :earsboy:

Started phoning at 9:30, kept getting "your call did not go through" for and hour, then on hold after hitting #3 with absolutely no sound for 1/2 hour, then on hold with music for 1/2 hour, but we got our ressies by 11:30!

See ya soon! The Quicks in Orlando

I got in right away on the 407 #. Cat. 6, cabin 6076. This is my second member cruise, but it will be the first for my DH since my sister went with me last time.

Right now it seems like a long time away, but believe me, the time will go by fast!

Well we got waitlisted today for a cat 3............or anything else................the cat three price was steep..............5700 bucks but we wanted to get on.

About 4pm, a couple hours longer than last time. I'd chalk the difference up to the phone system screwing up and the fact the people answering had to read this really long decription of the cruise to everyone calling in. Average time actually booking(from the time of actually gettting to a person to confirmation) was about 15-20 minutes.

Actually getting thru was an hour or more.

MS told me today that the wait list is very short and given that the cruise is 11 months away they feel quite confident we'll get in...............so we will see.

You're from the other thread that had the whole office calling?

Well, I wish you luck. I'm sure there will be some backers out before the final deadlines. There were people who made it from the waitlist last time.

I made it on in a Cat 11, 7629. It took 45 minutes before I got through, 30 minutes of the 800 number and 15 minutes of the 407 number. Wait time was about 25 minutes with an additional minute or so of dead air. About 10-15 minutes to book once I started to talk to someone. I look forward to sailing with everyone.

That reading of all that stuff freaked me out! In my mind I could see my category filling up--I even asked if he was looking for my stateroom while reading. He say no--he was required to complete the intro before going to another person to check my request.

This happened with me too. she was reading all this and i said I JUST WANT MY ROOM! she laughed and said don't worry, there were plenty left. I didn't get through til almost 10:30 so i was sure there were none left in what i wanted. :cloud9:

OK, we are now going on our first Member's cruise(room 6008). We have been on two Disney cruises before, both on the Magic. How are they different? I mean, food, intertainment, freebies and the such...smjj

We got in too! Its our first all the way around, first cruise and first DVC cruise. Though so far we look to be the only ones on Deck 2. We got 2 Cat 9's. Will have 3 of our 4 sons, at the time of the cruise they will be 16, 6 and 4.

Hi everyone

Late posting this, but I just got back from WDW late on Monday. We got a cabin for SSMC06! Cat 6, Deck 6 Cabin 6542! Requested late seating for dinner. It's me, DH and DD (who will have just turned 17).

There clearly was something going wrong with their phone system though. Since I was in WDW, I had DH and DD calling in that morning. They got on hold after about a 1/2 hour. When I called DH he had been on hold for a little over an hour.

I decided to try calling in myself. I got on hold right away and to a CM in about 15 minutes. Booked our cabin and was done in about 40 minutes. I called DH back to tell him and HE WAS STILL ON HOLD. So his total hold time was about 2 hours and he had been hearing music and the recording saying what he needed the whole time...no dead air.

Really made me kind of upset that the system clearly does NOT put callers in a queue based on the order in which their calls were received.

All that effort and time on DH's part just wasted. :sad2:

I sent DVC an email about the queue problem which as far as I could tell the didn't actually READ!!!

The email CLEARLY stated that I had finally gotten thur and got the cruise booked. Thier response suggested I call for the wait list!!! SHEESH!

I think maybe a phone call or letter to someone higher might work? I may try to do that next week.
