I read somewhere that part of the new DVC page was a perk that enabled dvc members to buy special merchandise on it...however, I can't find it for my life. I also can't find anything on the Disney Store page. Anyone have any idea how to find it??

The only thing they've announced (and it was just today) is some special Dooney and Bourke handbags for DVC members.

I'm guessing more will come. You can see it on dvcmember.com. I clicked through to it from Facebook earlier.

If you don't already have a Disney D&B, you might like it or want it. But I was disappointed. I have 2 bags already and this looks the same. The only exclusive thing appears to be a small DVC tag. The pattern is not new and the shape is the same as a bag I have. I wish they would have come up with something that was more obviously DVC exclusive.

I really like the Le Sportsac Dîsney bags. I think I have 3 of those, all from the Small World collection. They were very cute and casual. That collection is discontinued I believe and now they have some black/red Minnie Mouse themed items.

If you don't already have a Disney D&B, you might like it or want it. But I was disappointed. I have 2 bags already and this looks the same. The only exclusive thing appears to be a small DVC tag. The pattern is not new and the shape is the same as a bag I have. I wish they would have come up with something that was more obviously DVC exclusive.

I really like the Le Sportsac Dîsney bags. I think I have 3 of those, all from the Small World collection. They were very cute and casual. That collection is discontinued I believe and now they have some black/red Minnie Mouse themed items.

Completely agree. Nothing special about the purse, I was disappointed as well.

Also love the LeSportsac Disney Bags.

Bright side is I saved some money.

I was hoping they would release a luggage tag that the same as the little tag on the D&B bags. I like the tag but not the rest of the bag.

When I saw the Facebook post about this bag, I thought for sure I would be purchasing the DVC D&B bag. Then I showed the bag to DW, and she agrees with all of you, it is really disappointing. I would have no problem with paying them to market DVC if it at least had a prominent DVC logo somewhere on the bag. That little tag is a sad attempt at wooing DVC'ers into spending over $200 on a purse, which just saved me a whole lot of money for our next trip!

I actually try very hard to avoid wearing anything that marks me as a DVC member. Guilt by association My experience is that some CMs have been scarred by the "I OWN PART OF THIS PARK" abuse and actually treat us worse when we are branded like a cow. Can't say I blame them I have seen some spectacular abuse... (And no you don't own part of the park and if those words come out of your mouth you should be ashamed of yourself as a matter of fact any berating of CMs because "I am a special DVC member" should result in revocation of your membership LOL!)

Same here. I just said that to my DH last night after I saw the D&B bag. I told him that if only they could sell the tag with both the DVC and D&B logos on it, I would be a happy person. I do love my D&B bags and accessories but I just am not interested in this one, and because of that, the price is a bit too steep for me.

I do like the idea that the PP mentioned, to have it more DVC specific. I like the logo idea all over the bag, but I would go one step further and say they should have sketches of the different resorts or at least sketches of something that signifies the different DVC resorts....I may fork over some $$$ for that if it was done right .

I would not care to have something that just said DVC or had the DVC logo all over it but it might be cute to have one with a print that has all the resorts on it.

Why they would roll out a marketplace with only 8 older items in it is beyond me. Save the debut for when there's a good amount of merchandise to be appealing. JMHO

The only unique thing is the tag. The pattern has been used before, and the size as well, but supposedly the size/pattern combination has been used before.

Oh well, I may still get it for my wife.
