My, aren't we poll-happy this week!! :)

This is a companion poll to the OKW poll on member ages. Okay, all you VWL owners, time to let us know.....

How old are you? Not when you bought, but right now.

Now this is anonymous, so don't be bashful. Trying to sort out the age demographics of the owners at various DVC homes. Or at least of those on this board.

Don't be afraid to add comments....they are required to keep the poll near the top.

Also, look for a BWV poll coming soon to a board near you! :D

Under 30 here...but not for much longer (hmmmm.....how long can I get away with being 29? Geesh, I never thought it would bug me...but it does!)

So Granny which one did you choose? I know its anonymous.
DH and I bought in our mid 40s this past Nov.

This is very interesting. On the OKW poll, I'm in the majority bracket, on this poll I'm not.

It looks like most people invest in DVC when they're in the 30-40 bracket.

While my nickname conjures images of a little old lady (most think of Granny on The Beverly Hillbillies),

as it turns out, I am not little (around the waist anyway),
I'm not old (47 in a couple of months)
and I'm not female much less a lady. :)

What if the ownership is joint (married), do we get to use the average age (DW is bit younger, under 30:D )?

While we all vacation in Florida, we vote here on the boards. So vote for your own age. If your spouse wants to vote, they have to register and vote!

I know that sound voting rules are not generally followed in Florida, but this is the way that makes sense to me!

And no hanging chads.....punch that enter button all the way down!!:D

Since I am 42, I would suggest that future polls of this nature include all ages 21-43 in the same category. Break down the older ages any way you want. (At least for one more year). ;)

Bumping to see if others want to respond!

so I didn't know what to put down as I am 31 and my fiance is 26 nearly 27 so we are in different age groups for the poll.

just 30 short years away from retirement.....But only 22 years until I turn my childrens room into a home theatre:D :D :D

I voted for the 30-40 group, but DH is younger and he pays the bills!

Granny, it's more like an Aunt Bea picture in my mind, and now, even though I know your a guy, I still can't seem to rid myself of the image. And now you tell us your almost 47, I'll never get a new mental picture in my mind. Ha! Maybe you could post a photo of yourself with your signature so everyone would be clear! A kidding aside, I always like to read your posts because you make me laugh, and they are always very informative.

Erin C....thanks for the very kind comments. I know that sometimes my tendency towards sarcasm gets me in trouble because you can't hear voice inflections on these boards. That's why I use the Smilies so liberally. :) :) :) :)

I'd post a picture of myself, but hey....it's more fun this way!

And MikeScott8.....here's the deal. You are reading the board. You have the election tool in your hand. You vote for you. Your fiance has to vote for herself. This isn't Florida, much as we love to vacation there! No hanging chads on these votes!! :D :D

My husband and I are new members, just bought at VWL a few weeks ago. We are both 30 and have a 10 month old baby.

Nice to see so many other people around the same age.

Nooooo, dont put me in the 40+ catagory yet!!!! I'm 32 going on my 7th midlife crisis already !! hehe

j/k

I bought in May 2001 and I'm 32......I am not surprised by the poll having 30-40 the biggest age bracket.........many of my friends (most of them 3-4 years older than me) have really expressed an interest in DVC when I've talked about it......it's just getting up the money and being a Disney nut that really pushes people to buy. A lot of my friends have been there and LOVED it, but DH's are not as enthusiastic, and unfortunately for them (not me!) DH controls the dough or has an equal say in major decisions like this. I think if it was up to my DH, the answer would have been "no", but fortunately we have a deal where we split all the bills, and whatever extra money we have we do whatever we want - and the other person can't say anything about it. Believe me, I think some of his "purchases" are pretty dumb, but it goes both ways, so it's "hands off"!
