All caught up! Now let's see if I can remember everything I wanted to say.
But, the one place I relive the childhood I NEVER had is Disney World.
I hear that! I always wanted to go to Disney World when I was a kid. I didn't even get to another state until Middle School when I got to go on a field trip to King's Island (one state over). DH always tells the kids on Christmas and Birthdays how lucky they are that mommy had such a pitiful childhood since she's trying to make up for it through them.
They are best friends. They never fight. Bob and I are waiting for the first time they do. Should be a big one.
Where do I sign up for kids that don't fight?!? My kid's were fighting before DD could even talk. The sad thing is DS asked to have a baby (that's not why we had one, I'm not insane) and really looked forward to her arrival but I don't think he anticipated her getting more attention than him when she was an infant and he's still paying her back for it.
So, that’s the intros. Anyone want to see a pic? We’re real cute. Here ya go.
You weren't kidding! Nice lookin' family!
This one time...at band camp...
You went to band camp too???
I never actually went to band camp but DH and I say that all the time.
This is a photo of some of the things I packed that morning. It doesn’t look too bad in the photo. In reality it was 12 square feet of stuff. Yes, I needed it all.
Um, I don't think that looks like much.

We took our Odyssey too and had twice that packed in the back. I truly fell in

with Disney when DH was making fun of how much stuff we had and I was feeling so bad about it in front of the bellman who helped unload our van at AKL and the guy was so nice and truly acted like it was no big deal.
We stopped for the day in Charlotte, NC. Why did we stop in Charlotte? You don’t know? You have NO business reading this TR if you don’t know that I am a HUGE Nascar fan! No, really, go away.
Ok, so now that I’m done with that. I can tell you that I am a Kevin Harvick fan. He’s the #29 Shell Oil car. He won the Daytona 500 in 2007. The team he drives for is RCR. He hasn’t won a race in a while, but I’m no fair-weather fan. I’ll keep cheering for him. (Psssst, I also cheer for Jr. because he’s cute, but don’t tell Kevin that.) My DH, Bob, set up a machine (can’t tell you what kind) at the RCR engine shop a couple of years ago and has friends there so I **might** get a tour. Yeah, I know, you don’t care. But, you’ll read my report anyway right? I have pictures of shiny cars!!!
Not a fan here. Really we aren't fans of racing at all. Which is sad since we live in Indianapolis. My brother, bil and mother are though. Which means I saw Jr. win on Father's Day.

My mom was a huge Dale fan though years ago. One of my favorite Christmas memories was when she first became a fan I went to a racing store and got her a duffel bag and hat with Dale's numbers and when she opened it she literally screamed really loud. She's hard to buy for so it felt really good to hit one out of the park.
DH said that after we drove too. Then, we flew down the next time and now he says he's changed his mind. It happened to be the week of the Formula 1 race here in Indy and we had serious trouble getting home.
I hadn’t eaten anything like this in weeks though, since I’d started W.W. They were delicious but right after we ate, I felt bad. We finished up, paid the bill and made our way back over to the hotel.
I was by now feeling very nauseous. You guys remember the last trip? Yeah? Well, that’s what happened. I barfed. Really. It wasn’t too bad though. As soon as I was done, I felt WAY better. I know that’s gross information but you guys know that I have this issue with being sick on vacation so I thought it was sort of important to the story. I crawled into pjs, brushed teeth vigorously and tucked into bed. I slept great and the next morning Bob got me two ginger ales and I had toast at the awesome, free buffet. All better. Really. I was not sick AT ALL the whole rest of the trip.
I did WW back before I had my oldest. I lost over 40 pounds and was eating really healthy. Then my dad went mushroom hunting. I love fried mushrooms so when he offered me some I couldn't resist. I took them home fried them up and ate them with lunch before going to work 2nd shift. Long story short, I had to leave work I was so sick. I still can't believe I was able to drive there and back with all the time that I spent in the bathroom that day.
And then we packed everyone up for a drive down to the MOST highly recommended thing on my PTR!!!
South 21 Drive-In!!
Our plan was ONLY to order drinks and onion rings at the South 21 since that was what was recommended to us. Alton Brown actually went to this place on his special “Feasting on Asphalt 2.” He said the onion rings were awesome too!
I'm an so envious that you got to stop at a single place that Alton Brown stopped at!!!! We

us some Good Eats. I'm so glad he keeps showing up on more and more shows. The finally figured out how much he is loved.
Did I ever tell you that my DH is an EMT and works at the Indy Motor Speedway for races? Yep, he'll be at the Brickyard 400 in a few weeks. But, instead of watching the race, he'll be dealing with all the stupid spectators who drank way too much and then fell down and went boom!
Neat! My friend was telling me the other day how she tried to climb over a fence and got hurt a year or two ago. Your hubby is probably the one that had to help her drunk butt.
We've got a drive-in called Dog-n-Suds. My typical order: Foot-long coney cheese dog, onion rings and a large rootbeer

- Awesome!! They shut it down in the winter. When it opens up in March, they have police direct traffic it's so nuts!
Where the heck is that? I love their cream soda and root beer. I thought they all closed except for the one at the zoo for some reason.
When you get to FL you get all excited....then it’s HOURS till Disney.
I remember that last part seems to last forever. When will they ever get that teleporter up and running?
I wish now that I had photographed the LONG LONG LONG walk to our room like V did. She was right. It couldn’t have been farther away. It was down THREE long hallways. We walked those hallways several hundred times during our week there. I cannot believe you can walk for that long and still be inside the same building! And though the walk was long, the room was gorgeous. I really liked it alot. Did I photograph it? Nope. Don’t know why.
We had a really long walk when we stayed at AKL. Then when we stayed at BWI we were just around the corner from the elevator. That elevator sounded like someone was revving up their motorcycle all night long. Could I just have a medium walk please?
I have nothing but good things to say about Garden Grocer. Very highly recommend them!!!
I'm looking forward to trying them on our next trip.
The kids loved the slide and swimming! Being in a car for 11 hours will do that.
We actually never tried the slide. The rain had other plans for us that day. It's probably better that we didn't though. My kids are afraid of clowns for some reason.
I turn around. On the Boardwalk, surrounded by hundreds of strangers and start yelling at the blond lady and her husband who are walking away from me....
“JILL!!!!!!!!!!!!! JILL!!!!!!!!!!!” Her husband leans into her and is whispering something like, “uh, there’s a crazy woman screaming your name....”
She turns and I’m like, “Wait, wait, wait!!” And I’m shuffling over to her ***side note*** I don’t run. Not unless I’m being chased by zombies...maybe.
She waits for me and Bob to arrive and I say, “Are you Jill? From the Focker Board?” She says, “yep.” I say, “I’m Mel!!! Hi!!!” We hug. She introduced her hubby and I introduced mine. They were a cute couple. She said they were leaving on Tuesday. I really hoped to see them again, but we never did. Oh well. It was cool. Did I take a picture? Nope. Why? I don’t know.
I say to Bob as we walk away, “Wow! I can’t believe I’ve already had my first Focker sighting and we’ve only been here 2 hours!!” He says, “Uh,
I had my first Focker sighting....not you.”
Ok, Bob. Jeez.
I'm sorry, I have to give credit to Bob for this sighting.

I think the men like to look extra hard for stuff like this just so they can rub it in when they find it.
What a neat tour! Sounds liek fun, minus Gus feeling bad. I need to remember one of those spray fans before I go, for $17 I think I'd sweat.
I didn't take ours last time (I have a green one from a summer clearance years ago that I never used) but then we waited in line for Splash Mountain without one. I ran and got one before getting back in line and man was that second wait much nicer although just as long.
===============================
I'm gonna start on your last TR now Mel. Have a good one!
