I can't find my old journal, my guess they got purged. So I'll start a new one.

I only got one day of exercise this week and that makes me a bit upset with myself. :guilty: :sad2: My daughter was sick early in the week and I missed 2 days of work and really could go to the gym because I had to stay with her. Then I was being lazy. Blah!! I do get really achey at work because I'm still adjusting to be on my feet all day. So the plan is to go in morning after I drop her off at preschool. That means taking a shower at the gym, or I go early enough I can stop by home but that is really out of the way so shower at the gym it is. I need this to be a part of my life. For some healthy weight loss it will be exercise and eating healthy foods. I might try doing the core Weight Watchers plan on my own with the materials I got when I went for a month or so and lost 11 lbs. 2 after and thankfully haven't gained it all back. I keep creep up a lb or two but luckily it comes back off.

I also started drinking a lot of water at work so really need to keep that as a part of my evening routine or at least another glass or two, too many and I have sleeping problems because I have to get up to pee.

This will work. :cool1: :goodvibes And I do enjoy the gym membership. :woohoo:

I knew it when I decided not to stop at the gym on way home from work yesterday that it wasn't going to happen. My thought was to come home after picking up Zoe and get my swimsuit to hop in hot tub after my workout. By the time I was ready to be going it was late enough that I only would have short 30 minutes to workout and get Zoe from the kids room. AHH!! So I got up early to go but decided I still want to relax in that hot tub so now my bag is in car and swimsuit is getting added when I leave for work so that I can go on way home. Its busy at that time but might be in the morning too.

I just need to start going.

I set my clocks and woke up to go to gym but then decided I wanted to relax in hot tub so went after work. And I went. ;) :thumbsup2 I did 35 minutes on bike and went 5 miles. But my feet were achey so went with it over the treadmill. Now to decide if I want to go in the morning and do 15 at least then some weights before work because I do think I want to switch to mornings because I know the achey feet and exhaustion from being at work might tempt me too much to skip workouts, and I need to keep motivated and going.

Melissa -- It is so wonderful to see you here. I can't believe that Zoe is already 4 years old! Great job on dragging yourself to the gym. :thumbsup2 I don't remember what kind of work you are doing now, but I know I am so exhausted after a day at my desk that I can't imagine the discipline it would take to go after being on my feet all day. Keep up the great work! Looking forward to sharing your journey here!

Thanks Cam yes its hard to go after being on feet all day. The hot tub was nice and relaxing but my feet were still aching by the time I went to bed. I just did bike so I could sit. ;) I'm going in the morning to check out how the morning crowd is. At 5:14-5:30pm its pretty crowded but haven't had to wait for machine or anything. So it will be cool to see how morning goes. Oh and I know I can't believe Zoe is almost 5. Her birthday is 4 months from today and I can't believe it, then she is starting Kindergarten in August. AHHH!!! My baby has grown up, and boy would I love another teeny baby but not happening for a long while. :(

I'm doing medical assisting now, well its my internship that is required to get my certificate. I'm working at an OB/Gyn's office. The Dr. herself is rarely there but she has two nurse practitioners and I'm working with a really nice one. :) I do weight, blood pressure and room them but will be assisting more of the procedures eventually. I'm lucky because this is the one out of the providers that allows you to assist in more things. My only problem with it all is they don't really do OB anymore so she doesn't deliver babies. :( I was so excited about that part. Its my dream to go to medical school someday, when I get my bachelor degree done finally I will apply and I'm very interested in OB and infertility treatment especially. I've also considered and am really looking into nurse midwife because I like the naturalness of it all, water births etc. :) Lots of stuff to consider I know but right now making it one day at a time will get my degree finished and figure it all out as I go.

No gym today. Tried to go swim but water was cold yet. I'm going to do some pilates before bed though, and then I'll get in cardio work in morning at the gym before work. Will be interesting getting ready for work there.

Melissa-- It is so great to hear that you are working toward the fulfillment of your dreams. What an amazing example you are setting for Zoe! Good luck with the morning outing to the gym. That is hard, too. Maybe we'll keep each other encouraged!

Great minds think alike! That's exactly what I was going to say. She is getting so big & is so beautiful!

KUDOS to you for making it to the gym, Melissa! You're AWESOME!!

Have a great weekend!

No gym this morning, was up past midnight last night. Blah and good ol' aunt flo is deciding to finally show up. Its a few weeks late, guess she decided to take a little vacation. I was beginning to wonder where she was, I had been pretty regular right on 30-35 days and then now. I used to go months between for awhile there because of stress I'm guessing and well yeah I'm pretty stressed about making it financially the next month or so.

Plan is to go tomorrow and then I'll be walking a lot at the park, a nice hiking park to take some photos too. I have the day off because they don't have enough work for us all with one provider being out.

Hey, Melissa! I hope you get some workout time in today! I have such a hard time carving out the time to do it, but I always feel so much better afterwards, and especially during TOM. I went to the gym this morning and thought about you and how much harder it would be for me to do it if I had a small child to get ready, too. I give you a LOT of credit for keeping it all together! :thumbsup2

Have a fabulous weekend! :sunny:

Awww thanks. :goodvibes I guess I better get my butt to the gym today, instead of being lazy. ;) I just got up about an hour ago and cramps are bad so far, so I know a workout will help with that. TOM is so horrible to me at times. :sad1:
Also going to be walking a lot at park later.

My my its 11:30pm and I need to head to bed so I can get up to make it to gym before work. I will make this work. I will give a week a full effort and if mornings don't work I'll figure something out. Like 3 week nights and then the 2 weekend days.

Oh well off to pack the gym bag with my change of clothes and towel for shower. Then to bed.

I will be strong and get up to go to gym. :goodvibes

Yesterday I did get on the computer at all. I weighed in so I can get in habit of weighing in on Mondays again. I was 282.2 up a about 3 lbs after Easter and all the candy not too bad. I'd like to permanently say goodbye to these 280's though.

I'm quite proud of myself.:yay: I went to bed late Sunday and still got up for gym before work. :thumbsup2 I did 15 minutes of treadmill and barely survived 15 on the ellipetical machine, man those are as hard as I remember the last time I tried one a good 6-7 years ago. WHOA!!! That is some workout my legs still are sore from that. Then today I couldn't wake up for nothing and I went to bed pretty early last night, so I didn't go today.

My feet ache bad tonight, and just from work... WOW!! Think I'll hit the sheets early tonight after I pack up my gym bag. I meant to go to Target Sunday for the $7 duffel bags my school bag works but I think a duffel would be better. Gonna make sure I get up for that early morning gym, gotta work on motivation I think.

I will have to get more into writing daily journal entries here. Monday I was quite surprised and shocked with a 2 lbs loss. :goodvibes :thumbsup2 I have had a lot of junk food lately so its surprising to me but I did make a few gym trips so that helps.

Its my goal to get 4-5 days in at the gym this week. This morning I made it bu Monday I couldn't wake up for nothing, no surprise there I didn't get to bed until after 11pm because I wasn't tired and watched a movie before bed. I did 30 minutes on the treadmill this morning and did some arm toning work. I think I'll start adding in the weights now because that muscle mass will work for me. ;) Tomorrow I think I'll do 30 min cardio and work the legs. Need to get to a normal eating, the perks of working in Dr's office is lunch is catered sometimes by reps and well its not always too healthy or calorie friendly. Monday we had some yummy Chinese and well today I had some of the leftovers. They warned us in school that some gain 20 lbs in their first year but not me, no way am I letting that happen.

15 min on treadmill and 15 min on bike, no time for weights I was out the door late but better later with less time than not at all. :thumbsup2

Lets see if my ol' achey legs can do it again tomorrow. Its amazing I feel pretty refresed and less achey after workout when I get to work than I do when I step out of bed in the morning. ODD!!! But my feet are so achey by the end of my shift, when will I get used to this? Maybe I just need new shoes??

I'm feeling really guilty because I've had some pineapple upside down cake the last 2 nights. :guilty: :sad2: I'll be back to my frozen lean gormet meals the rest of the week and veggies/salads etc. for lunch and with the cake gone now it can't even tempts me. hehe I'm just hoping I'm down again next week. Wanna break free of these 280's for good. And I know from previous experiences that my blood pressure will also reduce, which will be nice because its been up from the extra stress of no income right now.

Ugh I've been lazy the last few days. I won't make it to the gym today because its too close to the kids club closing. :guilty:

I'm also afraid my scale will be back up on Monday. :sad2: :sad1: I dunno why I just feel it will. Going to count WW points this coming week and try to shoot for that gym Mon-Fri.

I really want to hit my mini goal of 250 lbs by Zoe's birthday, July 26th. I think its doable if I can get on plan and stay on plan I'll have a couple big losses I'm sure so I can see 30 lbs off in almost 3 1/2 months.

Food going good so far today. Was going to go to gym but will be swimming instead since its going to be HOT today. And I want to get to my pilates 2-3 nights a week along with my gym in the mornings.

Breakfast:
3/4 cup Honey Nut Cherrios with 2% milk(didn't drink, upsets tummy) 3pts

Lunch: (should be left overs??)
baked chicken breast 4 oz 3pts
salad w/ ranch dressing 2 pts
tater tots ?

Well food journaling isn't going so good this week already. BUT I did make the gym the last two days. 30 min on treadmill Mon with some arm work afterwards. Today my arms were sooo sore and I did not want to wake up at all, BUT I did and I did 30 min on treadmill and 15 on the bike because I think I'll wait to add the leg work on machines. I don't want to be so sore there I can't make it through workout let alone my real work, my job.

:cool1: Monday I weighed in too. No change, so that is better than a gain. :woohoo:

I'm so proud to say that not only did I get up and exercise for the 4th day in a row but I lasted 30 minutes on the elliptical. :thumbsup2 :cool1: I could have went longer and would have if I didn't have to get in shower and get ready for work.

That was the good news but my scale is showing me up 2 lbs from Monday and that is frustrating. I guess I should be not weighing in during the week but I couldn't help it. I really want to get back to tracking WW points so my food is better.

I figure I'll concentrate on getting the exercise to being a habit first then I can work on getting the journaling and points counting to refine my calories down to really help this. I know that the muscle from working out will help me burn calories over time. I did arm work on Monday and my arms are finally feeling better today but not completely. So next week I think I need to lower the weight down and shoot for 2-3 lifting sessions.

I have not been too motivated for the gym. I have a change of schedule and now have to get that into the new routine until I get working again. Being home and being officially unemployed you'd think I'd have time to exercise. I've been lazy because I've become a homebody and I didn't want to leave. :rolleyes1

Finally the heartburn indigestion that woke me up last night to post that lost entry is gone. That was the most uncomfortable heartburn I've ever had and when I laid down it was worse, maybe acid reflux or something I dunno it was horrible.

No gym yet today but I'll see about going later after dinner when my mom is up to watch my daughter and tomorrow I'll use the $3 cash I have so she can go too, she loves the kids club there.

Brunch:
2 pancakes with tablespoon of peantbutter and syrup
