Shannon (2O Something) Never Been to WDW "Officially". Only to
MK, which doesn't really count. Way too overhwelmed with information and, in general, way too excited.

Melissa (24) Soon to be in WDWCP and obsessive Disney World Planner. Can't get enough Food in WDW, espeically form Kringla Bakery and Whispering Canyon Cafe'! (Of course, I am the "official" trip report writer!)

Day 1:

Shannon and I set the alarm and woke up at 4am. We showered and said goodbye to my kitty (who passed away today!). We then made our way to T.F. Green Airport to take our flight to Orlando International. The flight was uneventful and we arrived ontime.

When we arrived in Orlando we got our baggage and checked in with Mears. Within 30 minutes we were on our way to CSR. The shuttle was scheduled to make stops at CBR, CSR, and AKL. When we stopped at CBR, the driver unloaded luggage from the storage below the bus. HE took off some of our luggage. So, I rushed outside to tell him to put it back on the bus because we were going to CSR. He placed it back on the bus. When I sat down, 3 other families had to get up as there luggage was also taken off the bus. With that squared away, we finally headed to CSR, which turned out to be a wonderful resort. We check in and got our request of Casitas 1 room 1147, which was located near the main building and bus stop 1.

After looking around the resort a bit, we decided to head to Epcot. We first headed to Spaceship Earth, or the Flog Llab, (Golf Ball spleeled backwards), as I call it, which I think is a wonderful ride to begin with at Epcot. We then headed to the living seas, which was a bit crowded because there was a Dolphin show going on. So, we simply took our time looking around and then headed to Honey, I shrunk the Audience. This attraction freaked Shannon out. She was not expecting it to be an interactive experience with mice running below your feet and snake venom squirting at the audience. We then decided that Ellen's Energy Adventure would be a nice idea. Shannon and I both enjoyed this ride, although it's a bit goofy. It's a relaxing way to spend some time and learn something at the same time. For our final stop in Futureworld, we stopped at The Land to ride Living with the Land, which we had gotten a fastpass for prior to riding Ellen's Energy Adventure. We had a five minute wait, which was not bad considering stand by was 45 minutes. Shannon was amazed at the conditions that plants can be grown in. We both found the ride fun and informative.

Next, we headed to the World Showcase. We watched the American Adventure and this gave our tired feet and bodies a chance to relax, as it was nearly 5:00pm and we had been on the go for over 12 hours. This show is really special, especially after 9/11 and is makes me a bit weepy. The last scene with the Statue of Liberty and the Twin Towers in the back ground tuggs at your heart strings. After the show ended, we made our way to Le Cellier for our 6:40pm PS. The service was wonderful and the food was good. We loved our server. She was wonderful.

After a relaxing dinner, Shannon and I headed to Japan where we were scheduled to meet a fellow DISER, Kathi. We watched TOD from the Pavillion and then proceeded to wait for Kathi. We met her and had some wonderful Disney Conversation. However, we were forbidden from talking about leaving WDW! THat was our only "no no" topic. We watched Illuminations and then headed back to CSR, where we turned in for the evening and a busy day at AK.
