Melanoma round #2

Well they took 2 more off dh last week and called to say one is melenoma again so we go back on the 25 for bigger surrounding area to be removed , they did not get it all on upper arm , but the one on the back was negative.. i sure hope this ends soon i am really scared for dh .. keep him in your prayers , again

My dad had it in 2001. Had a HUGE chunk taken out of his back and skin grafts done. THankfully his lymph nodes were clear. Best of luck to your dh!

I'm a 19 year survivor of stage 2 melanoma. I have a lovely 6 inch scar in my back as a souvenir. I routinely go to have things removed, just to be safe. I tease my surgeon that I only do it to keep him in business. One of them came back "active", meaning not yet cancerous, but not normal cells either.

My uncle is also a 19 yr survivor of stage 4 melanoma. He was diagnosed 6 mos after I was while he was undergoing treatment for basal cell skin cancer. He has had no problems since then.
