Mel Gibson's movie, THE PASSION

Does anyone know when it is going to be released? For those who don't know, he is directing a film on the last 12 hours of the life of Jesus.

I don't know about the date, but isn't it supposed to all be in Latin plus another language? Italian? Arabic? He was also opposed to using sub-titles, so I'm not sure how much anyone is going to appreciate it. Don't know if it's being released in the states.

I sure hope it is released here. He says the audience will know what is going on.

Latin and Aramaic, the language Jesus supposedly spoke. Both "dead" languages.

It's also supposedly got anti-Jewish messages -- ie. portraying the Jews as the people who crucified Jesus.

he didn't INVENT the story...just telling it like it happened.

Right.

And it is still a sensitive issue among Jewish folks, who are likely to be offended by their portrayal.
