Does anyone know how I can get discount seats? I know that there is a banner saying $1.00 seats - how do I get them? Thank you.

Just pull up the cities you are interested in traveling between and if the $1 is available then they will show up. I just tried this from Cinci - Chicago and some of the seats were $1. I did have to change return days to get the $1 seats to show up. I am sure as with anything flexability is the key.

I remember you posted before about this - wanting to go in May, right?

Most of the May NYC-Boston Megabus dates just got posted on their website. If you want to see which runs still have the $1 fare available, just choose "one passenger" when it asks how many people are traveling. Just change it (swiftly) once you've figured out which of the trips you'll be booking.

Otherwise, it will (in most cases) be $1 for the first traveler and $9 each way for each additional one. (That is, booking now for May. The prices will go up as the travel dates get closer.) I grabbed my usual tix for my spring Megabus trips and got my $1 fares! The first seat booked on each run is the $1 seat.

Yes, thank you. I can't believe that you remembered me. I just saw that they were up so I wanted to grab them and I was hoping to get all seven for $1.00 each.

I'm braindead: I'm not sure what you mean. do you mean to buy one then do it again and again?

No - you're not braindead! But, when you are the FIRST person to book a seat on a particular bus run, you get the FIRST (of your seven) seats for the $1 fare (each way).

This is how their $1 fare works - the early bird gets the worm. If you're lucky enough to get the $1 fare and book your trip ASAP, the other six Bos/NYC tickets will probably be about $9 each, one-way. So, put in "7 passengers" on their online system. If you are quoted a price of $55 one-way, you got the $1 fare, plus 6 x $9.00 for the others. (It just makes it easier to see the remaining $1 fares if you put in "one passenger" - the $1 fare jumps out at you!) But you won't get seven $1 ones.

Hope this helps you - I will PM you to help answer your questions more clearly and walk you through this a bit better. Good luck!

edited - Apparently, you're set up not to receive PMs - so that didn't work - sorry!

I just put a bunch of different May dates into their system and the best fare I'm seeing for a group of 7 is $59 - total, each way. This includes one fare at $1. The runs where the $1 fare seat is already gone are starting at $71 - total, each way for a group of 7 passengers.
