Meeting with Florists soon---need opinions!

Hi!

We are going up to meet with the florists the first week in April. I have made 3 different appointments with the following people. If anyone has had them or heard of anything please let me know. I use your advice a LOT and it is a big help!

-Peddles

-Whimsical Wey

-Orlando Florist

I am also meeting with the invitation lady, Shelly, from Impressions at Franck's. I am SO EXCITED!!!!!!

I just want to add a warning about Impressions. If you are concerned about the prices of the invites, favors, programs, etc., ask her for what the true, final cost would be including assembly fees, shipping costs (rom the vendor to her and then from her to you) caligraphy (hand vs. computer). We used her for our invites and had a lot of problems . . . a lot! There is a charge for everything so I just wanted you to be prepared because we weren't even though we asked for the final cost per piece!

We had our appointment with Whimsical Wey on Feb.3rd, Chris is amazing. She is so helpful and she ges back to you with the estimated budget right away. The deposit for whimsical wey is $100. We looked no further after we met with Chris from whimsical wey. The flowers are gorgeous, and so is her house!

An update on my opinions so far is this:

Peddles is a little rude. First of all when I am about to choose someone to be the florist I would expect a nice email like the one I got from Whimsical Wey. They were so nice, how are you? when is the big day? i would love to meet with you...blah blah blah. WELL the peddles lady was like: "Hows 11am on the 3rd" thats it...no my name is such and such and looking forward to meeting you.

So as you can see I am a little taken aback by this turn of events and almost dont want to meet her because of it. First impressions with me are big and this was not a good one.

I, personally, would stay far away from Shelley from Impressions! Her costs are way too high and her customer service is TERRIBLE! Some people have had good experiences, but after several months of working (or trying to) we had to nix her out and go with someone else! We ended up using Jen from sassy design co and LOVED what she did for us!! Shelleys work is beautiful and if you have the time, patience, and the budget for it--go for it, but honestly, it wasn't worth the huge hassle for us!

Regarding Sassy Design, I will say that when we worked with her, the communication (the speed of) was a little on the slow side, however, we talked it out and she was amazing until the end of the process. Her work came out awesome and they are custom designed invites for an amazing price! Good luck with whoever you choose, just make sure that you keep on top of them if you see they are lacking with communication!!
