O.k. everyone I need help planning next years vacation. My dd is going to New York for her vacation and my ds and I need a place to go for ours. He will be 41/2 at the time that we go and we are flexable about what dates next summer we go. I want to go to WDW with ds but dd said no because she likes WDW. Would it be so awful to go with out her since she is going to be in NY having fun? So what is all of your 2 cents on this.

I say take your DD with you to WDW. I can't imagine going without one of my 2 DD's. Maybe you and DS can do a mini-vacation while she's gone and then take the big WDW vacation together. However, you didn't say how long DD's NY vacation is or how old she is, so it's hard to give you a complete answer. If her vacation is like, for the whole summer, she may need to miss out on this one, since she's having such a big trip otherwise. Good luck in your decision!

If you are there the very first part of Oct you might meet me. I will be at the concerts at EPCOT on the 1st and 2nd.

We will be there Oct 6-14,I guess we will just miss each other. IF you will still be there would love try and meet up.

I say take your DD with you to WDW. I can't imagine going without one of my 2 DD's. Maybe you and DS can do a mini-vacation while she's gone and then take the big WDW vacation together. At that time dd will be 17 almost 18 and since she will be staying with old friends that I completely trust she will be able to stay for at least two weeks if not more. The length of stay is up to her and since she wants to move there after collage I think she will stay next summer for a while. I will then be vacationing just ds and I. Ds will be 4 and these will be the only real vacations for the year. I don't have a problem with separate vacations I just want to go with ds some place we will have fun. It isn't like I am just leaving her at home she will be in a place she loves. Also the summer of 09 she will be graduating from high school and I am planning a big surprise cruise with days at WDW. So she will be getting back again as a family trip at that time.

Mickey Fan, I am sorry to hear that your trip was not all that you had hoped for. Did something happen to your son to make him unhappy? I deal with a large, very large child that I have to worry about myself. It is harder when they are not cute.

I so want to. I don't want dd to feel she is missing out on anything but I am not going to not have fun with ds because she can't be there. She loves NY and I just don't want to be there with ds at that age he will not want to do the sight seeing and will be miserable. I think I will just plan it. Thanks for the support.

Cool When I finally get the nerve to book a solo which is looking good . I think I'll be going Feb 1st for 6 nights , which should make it to the 7th, I plan to have a leisurely vacation this time.
