Meet Mickey at Town Square Theater open during AM EMH?

Does anyone know if you can meet Mickey (and Tinkerbell) at Town Square Theater during AM EMH at Magic Kingdom? Touring plans says you can and factors that into building a plan for an AM EMH day, but other sites don't list it as being open during AM EMH......

Regardless, I'd not use up valuable EMH time on that.

Go to attractions that normally have long waits.

That was my thought too, but Touring Plans says we can knock out Mickey right at park opening with no wait within a few minutes and then move on to attractions. Makes sense because on the day in question we don't have any of the heavy hitters in our touring plans (SDMT, etc)
