I have just found this company offering meet & greet service for £72.50 for 2 weeks.

http://www.executive-parking.co.uk/

Has anyone used them & has anyone found anything cheaper ?

Holidayextras are showing £105 for the same service and not a lot cheaper for the usual get on a bus service.

Hi

After trawling all the sites and being amazed at how expensive parking has become, we found the following site http://www.tudorrose.co.uk - Tudor Rose at Gatwick.

Its the same principle, as meet and greet, except you go there first and pick up one of their drivers they come with you to the airport and drop you off. On return, you call them when you clear Customs and they bring your car back (you don't have to drop their driver back off though!).

I have not used them before, but told a friend about them who recently went to Lanzarote (sp). She said the service was good. She had trouble finding them, but she only had the outline map from the web site. She said they are only 5 minutes away from the airport. When she returned, she waited virtually minutes and her car was back with her. I hope it goes as well whn we use it!!!

Another good thing is the price £4.70 a day (£75.20 for 16 days) which is a lot cheaper than other sites for August travelling.

Hi,

We've used them before - very friendly and reliable from my experience.

£72.50 sounds like a brilliant price to me.

If you need any other information just ask.

Richard. :)

We have been using Tudor Rose for years now. They are very professional - you drive up and they are with you in minutes and away you go. It is so handy being taken to the airport in your own car - especially if you have little ones in car seats. I really don't like my kids travelling on those shuttle bus trips so this suits us perfectly.

Thanks for the tips guys. I just used the calculator on the Tudor Rose site and it works out at £59.25 for our 15 days in October, which is about half the price of the the BCP meet and greet service, and about £25 less than the BCP standard parking rates.

Angela, what happens on the return to Gatwick ? Do you drop the driver back off at the Tudor Rose site, or do they make their own way back ?

Paul

It depends - if they are dropping more than one car then all the drivers go back together. If they just drop ours then they load you all in and drive you back to the Tudor Rose car park and then you go on from there. It is only a 2 minute drive from where they pick you up and it is quite handy as it is on the road out of Gatwick anyway.

Angela

Thanks Angela. I think we'll definitely give them a try on our next trip.

Paul

Thanks for the replies.

The reason i was asking is because we have used Tudor Rose twice before, but both the last time we were kept waiting ages on our return. Had to drive the bloke back to the car park and the car was caked in mud.

So I thought we would make a change.

Will use Executive parking in August and report back on what I think.

Just saw on another thread that you were back Red - hope you had a good trip. How did you find Executive Parking ?

Paul

Yes thanks - had a great time.

Executive parking were fine. Better than Tudor Rose I think cause we didnt have to drive them back to their office as they brought a second car.

Didnt keep us waiting very long at all - probably 10 mins and that was at 6.30am as well after our Virgin flight arrived nearly an hour early.

If you do use them however - I wouldnt bother with their internet booking form because they end up ringing you for your card details and you dont get the chance to print a copy of the booking form - just do it all straight over the phone.

Cheers for that, and glad the holiday went well.

I think we'll give Executive a try then, as the extra convenience sounds a major plus point, especially as we'll have a 5-month old with us this time

Paul

Bumping - does anyone else have any feedback on Executive Parking? Thinking of using their services in December!

Hi Shirley,

Happy to give my thoughts on our recent experience :D

First, something to be aware of. If you call them directly and book you'll end up paying more than if you initially make contact via their web site. I filled in my details and hadn't heard anything after a couple of days so called up to book - they were going to charge me another £10 or so before I mentioned i'd contacted them online. Not sure if my experience was a one-off, but i'll give them the benefit of the doubt.

We turned up at Gatwick on the morning of the flight and they were about 10 mins late - apparently the previous delivery at the North terminal had called them as soon as they landed (rather than on clearing customs as agreed) and they had been hanging around waiting.

On the return we called via mobile as we came out of customs (actually whilst stood in the last-chance duty free shop as DW found some money she hadn't managed to spend in WDW ;) ) and then we with us about 10 mins later.

Very nice not to muck about with buses to the various off-site locations such as BCP especially with a baby in tow, and cheaper too. Will definitely use them again next May.

Hope all this is useful info for you.

Paul

Thank you very much for the info Paul :)

They are quoting £44 for an 8 day week on their website which is very good for personal service.

I'll book them online some time this week and let you know if I get any response :)

No problem Shirley.

It is good value, isn't it ? The meet and greet service by some other companies was about 30% more when I last checked.

Paul

Like I said above - book it online using the form but they will ask you for your credit card details when you arrive (if they havent rung you before) as there is no way of paying off the website.

I know this sounds silly, but does anyone know where the cars are actually kept? To cut a long story short, we have cancelled our parking with APH and will probably go with Executive Parking but I am now worried as we are going in my dads car and gawd help me if anything happens to it!! I woke up in a cold sweat this morning when I realised that I don't actually know where the place is they store them whereas at least we've used APH twice before and I've seen the storage facility.

Please tell me I have nothing to worry about only I have visions of my dad never seeing his car again and me being written out of will

Thanks

Denise

I'm afraid I can't help with exactly where they park the cars Denise, but I can confirm we got ours back without any problems. From memory there was about 5 or so extra miles on the clock so it can't be very far away :D

Paul

Thanks Paul.

I think I'm going to go with them - what's the worst that can happen I'll just have to buy my dad a new car:D To say he's like Victor Meldrew is an understatement...
