Meeko's Walt Disney World Trip 2004
After three days and visits to Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, the Animal Kingdom, Downtown Disney, Boardwalk, and more, the trip was quickly ending.
With the trip almost over, there was only a few hours left to spend at the French Quarter before heading home. The first stop for the morning would be the Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory for a breakfast tradition. On every visit to Port Orleans, I almost always have some beignets for breakfast on my last day. Usually, I had them at Bonfamilles Café, but this would be my first stay at the resort since the restaurant closed. It wasnt exactly the same, but it was still nice. After breakfast, I looked around the lobby and went to the gift shop to buy my lone souvenir for the trip- a pin of Snow White dressed in her bridal gown. I placed it on my lanyard next to the Snow Prince pin that I had bought a few years back. They made a nice pair.
Before heading back to my room one last time, I spent some time strolling around the resort. During the carriage ride, the driver had pointed out a fountain that he thought was the most beautiful at Walt Disney World. At that point, however, the water was turned off, so I decided to try and find it again. This time, the fountain was on, and did look very nice. Later on my walk, I found an old favorite- the spitting frog fountain.
It was just about time to go, so it was back to the room to finish packing and then head out. It was a nice trip, and I think that in the end, it was more relaxing than some of my others recently thanks to spending more time relaxing outside the parks, not stressing out over entertainment schedules, and taking more time to just enjoy. In the end, I actually felt rested after a vacation.
Thanks to everyone who read and responded to my trip reports. I really appreciate it, and I hope you enjoyed them.
