The time has come. Yet another wonderful trip to Walt Disney World has come and gone for me, and it’s time to write yet another trip report to share here on the DIS. For my last eight trips, I’ve always done a real flashy photo trip report here complete with a fancy logo graphic at the top of the page and plenty of photos of attractions I’d done or characters I met. It was a lot of work, but worth it. At first, response could not have been stronger with some of the reports receiving more than a dozen of replies and comments. But, as time went by I would be lucky if a post of one of my trip reports received one reply. Even I began to get bored reading some of the newer ones. It just seemed like every report seemed to look and sound about the same, and that gets a little boring after four years. So, something had to be done. I’ve dropped the old format and tried a new one.

As with all my other reports there will still be photos, but the I’ve done something to shake it up a bit and hopefully make it a little more interesting to the reader. Before heading out on the trip, I posted this thread on the Theme Parks Attractions and Strategies Board asking for ideas for a photo scavenger hunt. The idea was that each day, I would randomly draw three words that came from a list of words compiled from the thread. During the day, I would have to get photos of whatever words I pulled out. Hopefully this would get me to take pictures of things I wouldn’t normally think about taking photos of and give sort of a different view of Walt Disney World than some of my other reports have. Of course, I will also be posting photos of some of the new attractions from all over the parks as well as photos from my first stay at Pop Century.

Now, of course there is much more to a Disney vacation than just photos. There’s got to be a plan too. And, of course, I had a few things I wanted to make sure I get a chance to see or do. Of course, I wanted to make sure I see all the new attractions that are part of the Happiest Celebration on Earth and have plenty of time to explore Pop Century. On top of that, I wanted to finally try my hand at pin trading. Now, to give you some sort of background on this, I say that every year and but something always happens and I change my mind. This year though, I was determined. Pin trading will happen! I packed a pin that I was willing to trade and read up a little on how to trade pins before I left. I was ready. Secondly, I wanted to try to get photos of at least three characters I had never met before. On my last trip, I only managed to meet one character, so I wanted to squeeze at least a little more character fun into this trip.

Well, that’s a preview of what I hope this trip report will contain. Hopefully it will be something a little different from what I usually do, but still filled with the excitement and fun of a Disney vacation. Hopefully, the next installment will be up pretty soon, and I hope everyone will enjoy them all.

Thanks for posting. What a great idea about the photo scavenger hunt. I can't wait to see how it comes out.

In the past I have really enjoyed reading your trip reports and photos are so stunning.

Can't wait to read more.

Sounds like fun!!! I'm (fairly) new to the trip report board and I haven't read any of your previous posts. They sound fantastic...I'm off to find them!!

Oh, Meeko, your trip reports are always great! I enjoy looking at all your photos and reading about your adventures too. Sometimes I'm lazy about posting a comment to each day and save up for the last to post though. You gotta look at the views, not just the comments, okay.

Off to read more!

How exciting,a new trip report to look forward too! I love to live vicariously thru other's trip reports when I can't go for a while and the more interesting and detailed the better IMO

I will reply more to the reports I read to let the poster know how much I appreciate the reports.
