Not sure where to ask this so if the mods need to move thats fine. Has anyone been to this dinner show? Is it any good/worth the cost?

I haven't been to the one in Orlando, but I have been to the one in Dallas for my daughter's birthday. We had a blast! Great memories. She was chosen to be the princess for the day since it was her bday. My son loved it too and jumped up and down cheering. It's super expensive though. Definitely use the coupons and deals! We enjoyed the food but you have to use your hands to eat. Be aware that there are many opportunities to spend even more money, so prepare kids in advance that you're not going to buy any souvenirs, etc. Or have them use their allowance. ;)

IMHO it's garbage. During the entire show they are constantly trying to sell you more junk. Obviously people like it though. It's been around for along time.

As long as you're not paying more than $30 a person its worth doing once.I've gone for Grad Nite years ago and again when they sent me a free entrance for my birthday along with another full priced entrance,so two adults one paying $60 and one free so $30/person.You can find deals all over the place, maybe admission has increased since I last went so a full price admission is likely over $60,if so maybe $35 is what they're currently offering in deals online. The food is as mediocre as it gets,a Sparerib with little meat,a garlic bread like the frozen ones you buy,a baked potato, tomato soup,a semi decent apple pastry and a chicken that was actually not too bad.

If you could find a deal for it I would do it. I won tickets at New York comic con so it was free for us to go to the one in New Jersey, but we agreed we would never pay to go there. The food was so so, I enjoyed the chicken the most. I also felt like they didn't give us much time to actually finish the food, they bring something out and we would have like ten minutes to finish it before they wanted to take it away for the next dish they served. The show was interesting enough though. Worth it once but wouldn't pay for it, so if you can find a deal it might be worth it to try it.

I am a group tour guide and have taken groups to the Medieval Times in Orlando, LA, Chicago, and New Jersey.

If you get a decent deal, and go into it with a fun attitude, I think it's a great show. The food is actually pretty good, especially the rotisserie chicken. The show is wonderfully cheesy, with gorgeous horses and actors who totally get "into" their roles.

Having said that, if you are doing a Disney and/or Universal vacation, I would not take time away from those parks to see it. There are so many great shows and attractions at both those resorts I would just stay there.

Have fun!

I agree with a bit of what everyone says. I have done Medieval Times in Toronto when I won tickets and thoroughly enjoyed the evening.

Was the food awesome - not really but it was as good, if not a little better than a lot of mass provided food events I have been too.

Was the entertainment cheesy? - absolutely, that's the whole point. Go with the attitude that you need to bang your plates, clink your mugs, cheer your hero and boo that baddy and you will have a great time.

Like everyone has said though, try and get a deal as I think its a bit expensive to pay full price. The souvenirs are tacky and typical of this type of event, choose wisely or better still don't bother.
