I am planning a trip to the World this July for 4 adults aged 43, 23, 21, 18. We are spending the entire trip at Disney but will be eating some of our meals off property. I have been looking at Medieval Times as a fun dinner option. I am wondering how long the dinner/show lasts and if it is worth the money. As an adult did you find the show entertaining? How was the quality of the food? If you have been to the show before I would appreciate any feedback that you could provide.

We are thinking about doing this as well. Shows seem to be at 6:00 and 8:30 most nights, and last 90 minutes. Add 30 minutes for seating, says the website.

the only thing stopping us is the price. $55 for adults, $35 for kids, and that's not even the "Royalty" package (which gets you better seats, a banner to wave, and a commemorative DVD). I did see on undercovertourist.com that you can save about $12 per adult and $8 per child buying from them in advance (but then you must call 1-800-WE-JOUST to make your actual reservation).

But I'm not sure it's worth it. Any opinions?

I personally think it is a bit overpriced, but if this is your only opportunity to ever go to Medieval Times, maybe you should go for it. We have one near our home (Chicago suburbs) and I think I have been 5 or 6 times. I love the horses and the jousting, etc and the food quality is pretty good (not great - plus you eat with your hands! No utensils!) and the first time I went I really did enjoy it a lot! My kids are younger and they loved it too - maybe with your group being a little bit older, that money might be better spent somewhere else...??? I seem to be flip flopping on my advice for you...sorry! I guess if you would have asked me after I went for the first time I would have highly recommended it! :thumbsup2

(If you're wondering why I have been so many times and my review is sort of lukewarm - it's because I got to go for free a couple times when it first opened and then we took kids for birthdays, etc)

I would only do those shows with a discount. Did Medieval about 15 years ago and it was fun. Tried Pirates last year (half price) and it was a fun night out, kids had fun. We wanted to do something different.

Check with Ticketmania, UnderCover Tourist and AAA if you have it. I have used Ticketmania and AAA.

Ticketmania is $41/32 and AAA is $40/30 for Medieval.
