Hi all,

My apologies if this is posted somewhere, but does anyone know where I can find an on-line list (or even a partial list) of the different names of medications in different countries?

I know this is an issue when traveling abroad, (and I know it's important to take a supply from home, whenever possible!) but I can't seem to find any info on line. Can anyone help?

I am not aware of any place that has a list, but your Pharmacist would be able to help you.

The chemical name of your medication should be the same whatever country you are in. If the chemical name is not on the bottle, the Pharmacist would be able to get it for you.
For example, one of the drugs my DD is on is called Lamictal (the brand name). The generic name for that drug is Lamotrigine and the full chemical name is LTG; 3,5-diamino-6-[2,3-dichloropheny1]- 1,2,4-triazine).

Many drug companies are multinational companies and the same medication (even the same manufacturer) you are using in the US might be available in the country you are going to (maybe even under the same name).
