Medication in carry-on luggage

Note that TSA has also added that up to 4 oz. of liquid OTC medicine may be brought on board (per person I assume) Which helps with the kiddos taking liquid tylonol etc.

I quizzed SEVERAL of my coworkers yesterday on what happend this weekend at security.

Basically if your OTC or prescription meds are in PILL form the TSA is not even taking a second glance. Now they read the LABLE very closely on a bottle of saline because the labeling was METRIC and they can't covert that to ozs so they had a conference and FINALLY found the place on the bottle where it said oz. (My coworker was enjoying this so much he didn't attempt to help them)

And then of course after being YELLED at in the gate area in Atlanta to consume ALL beverages they got on to find the FA's drinking Starbucks.... So pretty much as long as the FAs are allowed to do whatever they want the whole control is invalidated and USELESS!

(The TSA sends me a daily message stating they received my email regarding this, but they don't respond to the email!)

Had no difficulty with my insulin (vials and syringes) and byetta (injector pen). Meds were hand-checked and I only had the cardboard box on one vial of insulin (left under old rules). Interesting since I think the syringes pose more danger than the liquids!
