Has anyone recently renewed their medical pass ?
My wife was issued one the last time we were there a few years back.
She got the new pass after Disney changed their policy on the medical passes.

Should she bring her pass back with her when we go in January ?

Thank you.
:)

are you talking about the DAS pass if so it is now on the MB or your ticket. you can bring your old one with you but just know the CM may want you to explain why you need it again.

This is a link to the FAQs thread on the disABILITIES Board about DAS (Disability Access Service) at WDW.
http://www.disboards.com/threads/wd...15-digital-das-on-tickets-magicbands.3178976/

The first post in that thread is up to date. Don't bother to read any farther because the rest of the thread is from just before and just after DAS began.

If your last trip was before October 9, 2013, you were using the old Guest Assistance Card, which has been discontinued. That program was replaced with DAS on October 9, 2013 so if you visited after that date, you would have used DAS.
GAC and DAS work quite differently, and some people who did use GAC are not eligible for DAS.

Whichever program you used, be prepared to explain why your needs related to your disability makes waiting in the regular line difficult for you. Bringing an old card may be helpful, but expect you may still be asked some questions about your needs. You do not need to discuss your disability, just your needs related to waiting in the lines.

If you have it, I would bring it. It can't hurt and may make things easier.

Since you got it so soon after the program began, she may or may not still be in their computer system.
At the present time, once a guest is in the DAS system, their record should stay in and Guest Relations only has to access it and reauthorize/reactivate DAS on their Magicband or park ticket.

In the early days of DAS, the record didn't always stay. Be prepared that even if the record is found, the CM may still ask a few questions to make sure the needs have not changed.
