Hi there!

We are having difficulties finding a medical I'd bracelet for my 2 year old that fits properly. Many of the charms are too big for her tiny wrist. We were wondering if anyone has found any that are smaller and would fit her tiny 5 inch wrist better.

Thanks for any help!!!

I agree with the Medic Alert Recommendation. Our daughter has worn a bracelet since she was 16 months old. Medic Alert had me measure her wrist and they took off the appropriate links so that it would fit her (TINY wrists). They also offered to have me order one and take it to a local jeweler to be sized. To measure her, use the advice on the website or call to speak to a customer service rep. They have always been VERY nice to us. Two of my children require bracelets. My son's bracelet (which is 4 years old) just required a new lobster claw (the jeweler put it on yesterday, free of charge). Medic Alert sent the lobster claw clasp, no charge and 3 O rings. (2 were for spares). I think that was excellent customer service, I couldn't beat free. Best of luck.

I also highly recommend MedicAlert. It is not only a bracelet, but a service. You never have to worry if a phone number or condition changes- you can just edit the information on their website.

We get ours from MedicAlert too. They ask for a wrist measurement and so our bracelets have fit nicely over the years. Supposedly the medics have been trained to recognize their symbol, but I am not sure if that is accurate.

Lauren's Hope has TONS of small medical ID bracelets. That is where we get our daughter's & she is only 17lbs

The MedicAlert sports bands worked great for my son when he was younger - he started wearing one at 18 months and it could be sized to any size. There was excess band "material" at the end, so I cut it off and melted it carefully in a flame to "seal" it. He had 2 different ones over 4 years and we still have them, though he wears the metal chain-type these days.

Good luck! It is good to have even the young children in them in case there is an accident or separation and you aren't able to speak for them.

We've used both Lauren's Hope and Etsy. They are cute too since you can switch out the bands and use the same medic alert emblem.

After looking around we ordered from Lauren's Hope and were very happy. DD wouldn't wear the cheaper velcro ones we had purchased before but loves her pretty beaded one that is sized just right.
