I should be on TV December 1 on Discovery Channel on Weed Wars. After getting permission from my church leader & fervent prayer, I started a regimen of medical cannabis (aka marijuana). It works great on my horribly painful leg cramps, helps me take in enough oral food to prevent damage caused by TPN (IV nutrition,) and helps me sleep & treat my Nightmare Disorder. I don't get a high or any altered consciousness or personality changes. I think it should be allowed as medicine everywhere. I thought I was a good stereotype breaker so check out Weed Wars December 1 on Discovery Channel :) Might see me :) It is a series (miniseries??) so I might be on a later episode.

BTW, I have an official prescription and it's legal in CA medicinally.

Legal in Canada as well...I tried the spray when I was going through chemo, it was supposed to help with the nausea but YUCK, did it ever taste gross! After that, I was willing to put up with the chemo nausea!

Good luck and I hope it helps!

Good for you! :thumbsup2 Keep breaking down those stereotypes & walls! :thumbsup2 We're working towards legalization here in NY. I wish it would move along. My Docs have had me on MM for the past 7-8 years on & off. It's at my own risk tho. To me it's worth it. Without it, the nauseau & lack of appetite, insomnia & pain are unbearable at times. I have tried marinol & not had the same success as MM. I vaporize to mitigate harmful effects/smoking associated risks & side effects.

I am also a little atypical of the stereotypes, I find most of us are. It's only when we stand up & show people who we are that the stereotyping will change.

I've used cannabis in The Netherlands for pain relief and had doctors who wanted me on it here (but have never lived in a state where it's legal). Instead, at the moment, I take Marinol which is synthetic THC. It's not as good for me as cannabis has been (probably because it's only one type of THC), but it's better than nothing. I keep considering moving somewhere that I can get it legally prescribed.

I tried marinol and had a horrible reaction. I got super anxious and started blabbing all my personal secrets. :headache:
