So I can't find an exact explanation on the Mears site of how the shared shuttles work.

I'm assuming I have to book by telephone?

How long in advance do I need to book?

Finally - how does coming back work? I think i read somewhere that I call an hour before I want them to come get me.

Do you mean the shuttles to Universal etc? If so, you need to ring the day before or you can ask the hotel concierge to arrange it, you are given a choice of pick up times and then wait outside the hotel. You are given a number to ring to arrange your return journey, you have to give 2 hours notice and again have a choice of times. Its very easy :goodvibes

Oooh, awesome, thanks Jen. :)

Do you know rough prices at all? Does it work out way better than a cab?

I'm glad you asked this, I was wondering the same thing :) In terms of prices, I think I heard that it's $17 per person for a return to Universal, and a similar price to Seaworld I believe, though it's cheaper to get the buses to/from Seaworld (though more hassle of course). My parents used the shuttle today, but they won't be ringing again until Sunday so I won't be able to give a definite answer yet I'm afraid!

Definitely a service I'll be using this time, taxi fares are just too expensive to justify.
