Hi there!
Any ideas for getting to Universal, Seaworld and Disco Cove without a car and without spending a fortune on taxis. I have heard Mears taxi vouchers mentioned could anyone enlighten me ?

depending on your tour operator, you should have been able to book these when you booked your holiday. we got ours then (from going places). you could always go back and ask if they can provide this service, although they may charge an administration charge. look in the back of your brochure if you still have it (they're definately in the airtours book). you can get 3, 7 or 10 day return day tickets. they will pick you up at your hotel when you want and take you to wherever you are going. if you have no luck, i have the tel number (US number)and you can phone when you get out there. they will do a set price for you but i don't know how it compares to the price if you buy from the uk. we have used mears in the past, and found them very good. if you want any further info, PM me

Mears has a shuttle bus that you can book through a direct Mears phone line in the WDW hotel lobby (at least there was a direct phone line at ASMu in 2003). I believe it costs $14 per person round trip. You can book it the night before, and I know that they travel to Sea World and Universal Studios. When you call, you select your pick-up time for the morning. You can also set your return time, or they give you a phone number that you can call 2 hours prior to when you wish to be picked up. They bring you right back to your hotel where they picked you up.

He runs and owns orlando taxi service. He tells all sorts of funny stories about disney on your drive and he also has a DVD player with disney stuff playing on it if you want (no charge for the dvd player) and instead of waiting an hour at the airport for a taxi or a shuttle or a bus, he will confirm your flight with you and be waiting there for you when you arrive at the gate....
