If our return flight isn't until 6:15pm what time will Mears want to pick us up to head for the airport?

You may want to post this on the transportation board...but I think it varies according to Mears' schedule so I'd call them to see. If you have over 2 people I'd consider a towncar service. The costs breaks even at 3 people and you get a personal ride to and from the resort. I've wasted quite a good amount of time on Mears prior to discovering these boards and the town car services. I'm talking the difference of a couple hours! Check out Yourride and cartier towncar to compare prices and availability!

I very often take a 6:15 PM return flight and have had Mears pick me up as early as 2:30. They generally like to allow at least 3 hours prior to flight time.

I left on a flight at 6:15 on Aug30.
They made us be at the resort ready to go at 3:15.

I wont use them again. Next time I will book a private limo.
Getting there was a big P.I.T.A.
Had to wait 30 mins for the bus. Then stopped at several other resorts then finally ours. The driver was a jerk. The driver on the way back was pretty cool. Showed movies.

Mears will probably want to pick you up at least 3 hours before your flight, if not more. We stopped using them and switched to Tiffany Towncar last June. Our flight was at 8:30 and mears wanted to pick us up at 4:00. I found this to be unacceptable, and we used the town car instead. The towncars are so nice, we will never use Mears again.

We are booked on a 6:15pm flight. Realisticly, what time do we really have to be picked up?

Can't I tell Mears that I will be going out on a later flight than I really am? :p

Sure- you can tell Mears whatever time you want - but I'd double check a few things before cutting it too close ---- Like- If you have to check baggage- then how long is the line for check-in (You'll also need your boarding pass to get thru the security line), and how long will the security line be at the time of night that you are flying (this depends on the day of the week / season too of course). I have no idea where you could get this info (although, from the looks of it, Mears has it built into their pick-up times) - but I fly in and out of MCO about 4 times a year, and have seen the security line as short as 10 minutes ( a week ago, at 10:30 am), and as long as 1 1/2 hrs. (last Sept. for a 6:00pm flight). Last September, I asked the TSA what the deal with the line was, and they said that the line always gets much worse in the afternoon hours.

Having said that - if you go to Mear's site, and plug in your travel dates and times and resort (as if you were going to make a ressie), it will tell you right then what the pick-up time will be.

I used them last week because I was traveling alone with my 3 yo (free on Mears) so it was much cheaper than taking a town car (or a rental, which is what I usually do). We didn't have any problems at all. We were picked up promptly at 9:15 am (at AKL)for a 12:30 flight - got to the airport about 10:00 am (after 2 stops at other resorts) (at one of the resorts, the driver waited 5 minutes, checked with CBR's bellhops to see if someone had called to say they would be late, then left when no passengers arrived )- had a leisurely trip thru the airport, a little MCDonalds for lunch and off on our flight - Very low stress - and I'm the type who usually cuts it way too close, so it was actually sort of refreshing to not have to worry about that!

How's that for a very wordy answer to your question? :)

If you have a 6:15 flight, they will most likely want to pick you up at 3:45, if you say it is at 6 they would want to pick you up at 3:15, but according to the website 6:15 is 3:45.
