I am trying to decide what would be a cheaper option for 2 people to get from MCO to a hotel in International Drive and back. With Mears Shuttle Service it's $60, round trip. About how much would it be to do the same trip with a cab, I was thinking it might be possibly cheaper, since the cabs charge the same regardless of how many people are riding?

A taxi will run you between $40 and $45 each way, not including tip.

The last time (2008) I took a cab from MCO to I Drive it was $40 one-way without tip.

The Mears taxi calculator told me $35 from MCO to our timeshare on International Drive, $30 for the shuttle.

We have someone local picking us up so we won't use either, but had decided for the $5-10 more a cab would be better than the 3 of us, a stroller, carseat and 6 bags on a shared shuttle.

The Mears calculator might not include the tolls, there seem to be tolls every 500 yards in FL! That might be the difference.

As title, does most taxi @ MCO capable of taking 5 people, plus 2 large luggages and 5 carry on lugguages? Thanks!

No a regular taxi will not be able to fit 5 people plus luggage, you will need a taxi van.

Yes, a taxi van will fit 5 people and luggage. Mears vans hold 7 perrsons and Luxury taxi vans hold 9 passengers. They are the same price as taxi sedans. You might check for private car service. That mode of transportation is usually cheaper than taxi service, in a lot of cases.
