This will be the first time I will be flying down to MCO (we have driven the past 2 times and when we flew to Tampa we rented a car). My question is - do you have to call to book Mears or how does that work? You just go out when you get to the airport after getting luggage??? I have a round trip "voucher" that I got when I booked for my DVC resort but to tell you the truth, I didn't read it that well - just saw the price and said - YEAH!!! Thanks for any info.

You should call and book ahead. The way mears works is that they don't leave the airport usually until the van is full, but sometimes if it's slow will leave with a half full van. Depending on where all the passengers are going will determine how long it takes you. I would bank on atleast 45min with a full van. DW and I personally think mears is worth the money for a round trip.

Have a great trip.

From about 9 AM to 7 PM you can get off your plane and head right out to the Mears stand without a reservation. Returning to the airport you should make a reservation at least 24 hours in advance, don't be surprised if you have to be picked up four hours before flight time so the van can pick up others along the way.

Ditto what seashoreCM said. ;)
We used Mears the first trip. We had travel vouchers and just walked to the counter and got our RT information/tickets.
We also used them to return on our last trip this January.
They have always been very punctual.
The first time we went from MCO to CSR, we had to wait awhile. But it worked out well as there was only four of us in a van.
The other times we have been on a bus.
The Mears staff are not an overly friendly bunch. Not rude, just not smiley or informative. But in our case they have been very punctual with a comfy ride. And that is what is important. :)
But this time we are checking out YourRide and making a pit stop at the Disney outlet by WDW! Now THAT is IMPORTANT!;)
