Mears connect car seats

I’m booking the standard mears connect bus and have a 3.5 year old and a baby. Am I correct in my understanding that we do not need car seats on these buses?

From the Mears Connect FAQ: Can I use car seat for my child(ren)
"Yes, if you bring a car seat you may use it. You are not required to use a car seat but if you bring it, you may store it in our luggage area as well."

On charter busses, I don't think so. Unless you're flying at an off peak hour, it's usually a bus similar to DME. But Mears Connect doesn't guarantee vehicle type (last I checked), so it could be a bus, a minivan, or anything with wheels.
