Mears car service

So if I book a car service for pick up and drop off at the airport, I give them my flight information, correct?
do they track the flight to know when to show up at the airport to pick you up?

Usually, yes. We just got back on Saturday from a week long trip and used a round trip car service. Our flight landed about 45 minutes early (EARLY!!!) and the driver was already waiting for us because he had our flight info and tracked our flight. The day before we left WDW the driver texted us to confirm our pick up time. That's the way most car services operate.

FL Tours is a popular one that we have used before, and it allows you to book right off their website.

EDITED: I removed the name of the service I used last week because I realized they aren’t a sponsor of the site, which I believe would have lead to the comment being deleted.

I know that's how we are supposed to name companies on these threads so that the system can "clear" them, but this company actually doesn't have a website. They used to have one, but they don't anymore. So I was just trying to stay clear of anything that would be in violation. If a moderator gives me the OK I will add them.

I'll just add that I've used Mears car service in Orlando and it was reliable.

Out of curiosity, did your Mears driver meet you inside on arrival, or did you have to walk outside to find him/her? Thanks!
 
Used Mears this weekend. Flight came in a half hour early, they tracked it though and met us at the bottom of the escalator in baggage claim. i felt the price was competitive with rideshare surge pricing and tip was included in quote. We were met right on time for the pickup back to MCO.

This is helpful thanks! Since we’re flying Southwest in A terminal, I assume they’ll just automatically meet us on the A side.

The instructions with the confirmation text was a tad confusing but since luggage was directed to the A side (we only had under seat bags), that was the direction we went. I thought we would have to wait, but the driver was there with a name board. I asked him about him being there even though we were early and he said there app followed the flight and notified him of the early arrival.

Perfect. Thank you! After an hour wait on DME in April, I am ready for this kind of service!
 
Understood. I spent a couple of weeks pricing rideshares during my arrival time, combined with wait times and decided to give Mears a shot. A rental car for a 3 night stay with daily parking charges was pointless. Very pleased with the experience. A nice roomy Lincoln Town Car, professional drivers, and would have helped with luggage at the carousel if I had any.
