Good morning everyone!

Yuck, what a day yesterday! Last night I got sick as a dog. My ulcer was rolling and I had some bad interactions between some medicines. I guess they weren't kidding when they tell you not to take drug A when you are on Drug B

On to today's poll

Since I'm feeling blech this morning lets do a medicine poll..

"What painkiller works best for you? (headaches, back pain, etc)"

Usually I use a generic Ibuprofen and it works fine. For the last 4 weeks I have been getting 1 or 2 migraines a day and nothing works for that. I have seen the doctor, he prescribed Relpax. I took it once but it made me feel really funny. Have to try something else.

Relafen most of the time and sometimes tylenol #3

My doctor told me Tylenol only as it won't affect my Asthma.
But I rarely get aches and pains so I don't have to use it a lot.

I prefer Vicodan, for that reason, I take Advil.

Tylenol works best. If I am on a prescription pain killer I can only take a half or sometimes a quarter of a tablet at a time or I get sick.

I also love Vicoden, but I have to stick with Advil or Tylenol. Although Tylenol makes me sleepy, and Advil is bad for your liver. Unless it's a migraine, I don't have any aches or pains usually. Oh, except for those darn Kidney Stones, but it's been several years, so maybe they are gone for good.

pre motor home... all i used was advil,, post motor home in the head... darvacet, advil, asprin, tylenol, or one of the other 2 scrips i cant remember how to spell:)

motorhomes will cause headaches,, especially when you hit one with yuor head at 40 mph,, and arent in a vehicle at the time:)

I take Tylenol or ibuprofen for my headaches. Sometimes I'll use Aspirin but only if it's coated or it'll upset my stomach.

Generally, I don't use anything. I've always had a high tolerance for pain and just deal with it. In my early 20s, I fell roller skating, actually fractured my elbow. Went home and went to bed...in pain! Didn't tell my parents until the next morning. When I had my c-section, the nurses came in and told me I must be ready for Percocet. No, wasn't too uncomfortable. :teeth: The only time I get a headache is when I haven't had caffeine! So I have a cup of coffee to chase it away. Ha!

:)

Well since I am allergic to aspirin, ibuprofen, and naproxen sodium (my lips get fat and my throat constricts with all three) I picked tylenol. Acetiminophin is the only pain reliever I'm not allergic to.

I can't take ibuprofen because of the BP meds I take so Tylenol works best for me.

I hope that you get to feeling better quickly MeanLaureen.

For bad pain I use Ibroprofen (Nurofen) & for minor pain I use Paracemetol

I'm allergic to most NSAIDS, so I can only use Tylenol.
