Good morning everyone!

Well, half the week is just about over. Is everyone ready for Father's Day? What are you getting your Dad/Husband?

Matt and my fathers are no longer with us and we don't have kids right now so just for fun we do Mothers Day/Fathers Day gifts from our dogs. The dogs got Matt a framed Indiana Jones print (really cool) from Overstock.com - we are building a bar area (although it will be stocked with soft drinks since we don't drink :) ) in our 2nd den we are building and I'm letting him decorate behind it and he's going with a movie/superhero theme. Should be interesting!

Anyway ... on to today's poll topic

Speaking of movies

"What is your favorite COMEDY Movie catchphrase?"

Orange Whips, Orange whip..orange whip

I picked the Mission phrase, but I think the phrase I say most often is from Nemo. "Bubbles, bubbles, my bubbles." It drives my kids crazy when I say that.:p

I get my brother a Father's Day card and sign his dogs names on it.:) He doesn't have any human children, but his dogs are children to him.:) He rolls his eyes at me when he mentions the card each year, but I can tell he likes getting the card.:)

had to go with the brothers blue... and altho i never get one at fathers day dw always gets mothers day cards from the cats

Chose another from Austin Powers... when Dr. Evil puts his pinky to his mouth and says. "1 million dollars!"

I use that Bueller one when I'm teaching and I feel like I'm talking to the wall...I just stand at my desk, stare out into space and say "Bueller? Bueller? Is ANYONE listening..." It gets the kids' attention but they're starting not to know the referenece as I get a lot older than my students. :)

Lighten up Francis has always been a personal favorite. I have a brother named Frank so......

Personally I like "Beam me up Scotty, there is no intelligent life here."

Oh I just used this one this past weekend when we were lost for 2 hours in Florida!! We drove in a giant 2 hour circle!!

Big Ben, Parliment!!

European Vacation of course!

Somehow those silly vacation movies make me laugh, we are the Griswalds when we travel. We have had very simmilar travel experiences!:tilt:

We are just relaxing for Father's Day. His present, and my late Mother's Day, is great seats at the White Sox game on Wednesday.

I love a lot of the different lines from "Blazing Saddles" but my fave "catch line" is from "The Frisco Kid",

"come here birdie, I don't want to hurt you, I just want to eat you."

From Young Frankenstein - There are so many, yet "He must have an enormous schwanstuger" (Teri Garr) and then with a perfectly straight face "That goes with out saying" (Gene Wilder)

Sadly, I have never seen some of the movies listed, guess I am really old!

Too many movies, too many quotes.

So I'll just say Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Take your pick.

My brother loves to quote from National Lampoon's Vacation. EVERY TIME we drive over a bridge, no matter how big or small, he says, "What river is this, kids?" :teeth:

I picked the Vacation one. I LOVE those movies!!!!!!!

I also like the Blues Brothers and Ferris Buller lines.

I am getting DH a shirt and some books for Fathers Day. I showed the kids what I had picked up yesterday for DH and DS4 had a fit b/c he wanted to show the shirt to his dad. He got really mad b/c I wouldn't let him.

We will be on vacation :sunny: on Fathers Day, so we are going out to eat tomorrow night w/ our parents. We are going to an all you can eat county buffet. They serve it family style at the table. It will be fried chicken, roast beef and BBQ (a Thursday night special) along w/ all the fixings!! Yum! Can you tell I'm excited?

It's a good quote but this poll was just for comedy movie catch phrases. I'll have to remember that one when I do Sci-Fi

I voted other.......

Jack Sparrow: Me? I'm dishonest, and a dishonest man you can always trust to be dishonest. Honestly. It's the honest ones you want to watch out for, because you can never predict when they're going to do something incredibly... stupid.
