Good morning everyone! Hope everyone's week was off to a good start yesterday!

Here is your question of the day - inspired by dh Obi-Wan Pinobi

"Which of these "non traditional" pets would you want to have"

Black Panther. My very first concert I saw was a Janet Jackson concert. I fell in love with her panther.:)

Tiger, tiger burning bright
In the forest of the night
What imortal hand or eye
Could frame thy fearful symmetry?

I had such a hard time deciding between wolf, deer, fuzzy rodent and duck duck goose

Ended up with wolf though!

I voted for fuzzy rodent but my choice was not listed. I'd love a skunk (de-perfumed, of course!). I've heard they are very loving docile happy pets and can be litter trained.

What do you think a burglar would make of a skunk if they broke in? :rotfl:

I'll go with fuzzy rodent. Gotta love squirrels. :teeth:

There should have been a choice for NONE, since I believe these types of animals are not domestic and should be left where they are, in their own habitat.

FOJMO...apparently your "back" button isn't working today.....it's just a fun poll....

I picked duck and goose (technically duck, duck, goose), a friend of ours has both in her homemade pond, and they are such fun to watch and interact with.

 I thought you were serious, Laureen! LOL

After I read a few posts, I realized that it was just a "What if" kind of thing. LOL

Anyway, I went with big cat. I have always loved the beauty and majesty of tigers.

I had to pick fuzzy rodent (squirrel specifically for me)... they are just soooo cute!

Now if you gave me a huge house to go with my new found pet ;), then I would want a BIG cat! I'd give anything to hug or curl up and sleep next to one of those.

Ahhh... I love fun polls like this... fun to dream a little ;)

Give me a break! Why do you have to do this? It's a joke - a "Useless poll of the day"!

I voted for chimpanzee!

I picked 'duck, duck, goose' since I love ducks and would actually own one if the HOA would let us. Unfortunately, ducks are considered 'stock animals' around here and are forboden by the HOA.

It was tough to pick between that and 'other', which for me would have been a hawk. There are lots of redtails around here that I love to watch soar through the sky, sometimes diving to the ground for rodents or small birds for dinner.

I grew up in the country ummmmmmm.... a few years ago... I hand raised a baby pig whose mother was not caring for her babies. He was so smart and so much fun. He had an amazing sense of humor - he'd sneak up behind me and put his cold piggy nose on my leg to see me jump, then squeal with delight and run around me in circles. I loved that pig, named him (not too original, I admit) Oink.

My dad cut up a tree that had fallen during a storm. He cut into a squirrels nest and found a sick little baby. We brought her in and nursed her back to health. She had a cage near the house but spent lots of time climbing on my dad, she thought of him as momma, I think, or perhaps her tree. She was a real character. When she got older Dad set her free and she lived near the house and came to visit often.

My dream pet would be a moose.

I chose chimpanzee.....I always wanted a monkey as a child (then it was a spider monkey).

Love the big cats too.

Maybe 2, so they could have babies. Baby gators/crocs are so cute.
