Hello everyone!

Well what a heck of a day Thursday was! After having my store so darn clean you could eat off the floor for our VIP visit - they never showed up!!

My DM was waiting there with me - we did a loss prevention eval while we waited (I passed with a "darn you're anal" on my paperwork ) I tried to get her to help me play a April Fools Day joke on my assistant. I told her that he was coming in in about 5 minutes so I would hide in the bathroom and she could tell him she fired me. (He had just told me that I wasn't going anyway anytime soon because he wasn't ready to take over..lol) She has no sense of humor though and told me I was mean and to go stand in the corner. (yeah, we have a mom/daughter relationship that sneaks through at work now and then..lol)

*sigh* All that work for nothing

Oh well - on to your question of the day..

"Which of these small appliances could you not live without?"

Coffee maker is at the top of my list. Even camping for the first time this past weekend, I had to make sure that I was going to have my coffee.

I voted coffeemaker.. I set it up the night before, actually it perks the coffee not drip, and push the button in the am and voila.. I cannot make it without coffee.

I voted blender - only because I could live on Dunkin Donuts cofffe if I had to...

but I make a MEAN margarita and I wouldn't want to be denied that...need my blender.

2 reasons - It will be in a poll of major appliances (since mine is a big old built in thing I forget about the little countertop ones..lol) and that puppy would have swept the polls hands down I bet! Figured it would have a tougher time going up against the big boys

I had a toss up vote between the can opener and the coffeemaker when I remember I can always go out and buy me a cup of coffee, but I always hurt myself with the manual can openers. So it won.

Maybe your VIP did an April Fool's joke on you by saying he/she would show up yesterday.

Vacumn cleaner because I use it twice a day. I have cats and can not stand dirty floors.

I voted for vacuum, because all of those food related things can be done another way, but I would hate to have to sweep instead of vacuum!

Well, there are several that are quite handy

But most I could find another way to achieve the same goal....except vacuum...so I had to go with that!

Hey Lauri, here is to a better day today ! I voted for vacuum because with 5 DCherubs and a DH that I often call my 6th, 3 cats, a dog, a rat, and a sundry of kids friends.....if I vacuumed 3 times a day it still would not be enough, lol. That being said I am here instead of doing what I should be doing, vacuuming!

Coffeemaker. I know because I am living in a temporary house and have not unpacked much in the way of appliances. While I do have a microwave and my Foreman grill, I can make do with out them. The vacumm could be a problem, but if DH doesn't have a fresh pot of coffee every morning, his whole day is bad.

George Foreman Grill! We use it everyday if we eat meat. Has really cut my fat intake as it drains off easily. We even gril veggies on it at times. We actually have 2 of them. One for meat and one for vegetarian items.

Definitely coffeemaker. I can't afford that much Caribou coffee.

Living without a vacuum would be pretty tough too. I'd have to have all the carpet ripped out and put in hardwood floors (hmmm... that's not a bad idea, actually. )

I picked blender...I mean can you imagine making frothy drinks without one?

But....it was a hard choice. We use our GF grill so often that it has its own little spot on the kitchen counter.
